6'2 AJW Classic fish

Just got a lightly used AJW 6'2 x 21 1/2 x 2 3/4 x 42 L Classic Fish, I'm 5'11, 180lbs, intermediate surfer using the lovelace twinzer fins by true ames (just the back fins). Such an interesting board, it doesn't surf like a classic fish at all hahaha comparing it to a Steve Brom 5'7 X 21 X 2 7/8 X40L. It sits way more engaged in the water instead of on top of it. The rails are really thinned out and with speed you can bury and push it through a turn from nose to tail on a decent wall. In my first surf I had it in head high hollow, fast beach break with strong offshores. It did take a couple of waves just to get used to the rocker, very flat on the nose and tail but some curve in the middle. But once I found the sweet spot, this board flew even against the offshores I was facing (25kph). I was able to do some nice cutbacks, some nice carvy turns, and it felt very solid underfoot but not stiff. Stoked on it, definitely a fish you can take on better or larger size surf. I've been looking for a larger fish/small mid length twin fin board 6'2"-6'6" around 43L for a while. Other boards I've tried in these "in between" dimensions seemed to have too much swing weight up front decreasing control, or too much tail rocker and/or pulled in foiled out tails that try to make up for the overall beefyness of these boards but end up not working as well. This board's foil is very well balanced and feels proper underfoot. The glass job is solid, worth the money.
