Rental Shop Associate

This is a great entry-level position into the industry for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about kiting and surfing or who want to learn. As the Rental Shop Associate, you will assist our Kiteboarding Coaches, customers and coworkers to select the right gear for the day's conditions. Other responsibilities include gear running, yard marshalling, organizing surfboard and kite repair, used gear evaluation, and Jet ski maintenance.

Lesson Center Administrator

Lesson Center Administrators are the first point of contact for students. They welcome guests, explain facilities and lesson products, sell and schedule lessons, ensure accurate billing, and communicate confirmations across multiple platforms.

Strong communication, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment are essential. Experience with kiting, surfing, foiling or winging is helpful, but not required.

Front of House Staff — Seasonal 2027

Line Cook

Watermen's Bar & Grill in Waves, NC is seeking candidates for the Line Cook position. This is an annual seasonal position with competitive pay, upward mobility, employee housing options and REAL Watersports property perks.

The Line Cook role is responsible for preparing all Watermen's menu items to standard. This is accomplished in an extremely high volume, fast paced and efficient kitchen. This person will be working in very close proximity to others on the team and is expected to maintain professional demeanor and mesh well with the rest of the crew.

Hours can range from 8 - 12 hours a day, up to 5 - 6 days a week.

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing fish, steak, chicken, turkey, shrimp and crab using a flat top, char grill, sautee and ovens.
  • Preparing wraps, sandwiches, quesadillas and salads
  • Preparing sauces, marinades, salsa, dressings and prepping back stocks
  • Daily cleaning projects
  • Helping with dishes as needed
