What we like:
You can tell that the crew at Liquid Force spent a lot of time riding their hydro foils and testing out other boards, because the Galaxy just feels right. Maybe it is the concave deck that let your feet nestle in. Maybe it is the kick tail in the back that your foot can rest against if you are riding strapless. Maybe it is the light weight feel under your feet. Maybe the deep double concave on the nose with full length chined rails. Or it is all these things blending together into a great positive feeling board. We rode it and immediately loved it, as did all our other testers.
The track system will let you use this board on any brand foil with the pedestal base. The multiple foot strap set ups allow you the freedom to session the Galaxy any way you want.
When you come off foil the nose and rails were designed to soften the landing and push you back up on foil. No more stick in the spokes nose dive when you hit the water with the Galaxy.
We love the kick tail on the for strapless riding. You can feel the back of the board with out looking and it gives you extra leverage for carving turns.
We kite, wake and surf foiled this board and it was best in class for all categories.
The Galaxy board is the board you can buy as your first foilboard and never grow out of it. Your first session on a kite will be really easy but some people love the huge high volume boards for their first few sessions. That being said most of the REAL coaches though teaching on the Galaxy board was a breeze.
If you are going use this for a surf foilboard, you need to be a pretty good surfer since it doesn’t have that much volume.
The Galaxy matches up perfectly with the Liquid Force Impulse foil. That foil has a fair amount of lift off the front wing so mount the foil all the way back towards the tail to an inch forward when you kite it.
Who is the Galaxy 4’8 Board is for:
Every foilboarder will want the Galaxy once they ride it or see one in person. This is the best and most relevant foilboard that has come to market. To top it off, the Galaxy works awesome for kite, wake and surf foiling.
The Liquid Force Galaxy 4’8 is the best all around foilboard on the market that rocks for kite foiling, wake foiling and advanced surf foiling.
