INTRODUCING THE SCORE LORD — BUILT TO SCORE, EVERY SESSION!

A rippable Daily Driver, The Score Lord, is a sleek beast of a board that has the perfect blend of Width, Thickness and Rocker designed to maximize your wave count, improve your surfing and still provide the performance potential we are always chasing after.

I have been building different versions of the Score Lord for myself, my friends and my team riders over the past 3 years, trying to pack volume into our boards without losing sensitivity and performance. I watched them ride tons of waves and used their feedback to dial in the design. Finally, after constantly having people paddle up to me and ask what I was riding, we decided it’s time to share it with everyone.

Meant to be ridden in all types of waves, anywhere from 2 to 10 feet (yes it is THAT versatile!) and designed for maximum paddle power, stability and glide, the Score Lord allows you to surf up to your potential or improve rapidly!

The outline is clean, wide-point forward (+2”), with a full nose that is just slightly wider than the tail. The back half is sleek, but not overly narrow and ends in a very round pin tail that keeps it smooth and loose. The thickness is pushed forward to keep lots of foam (Volume) under your chest area, keeping the sleek beaked nose free for fast paddle and easy wave catching, while the rails and tail area are thinned out to keep it sensitive and quick.

Sizing for the Score Lord is pretty varied and all relative to your surfing and fitness levels: Better surfers will be able to ride it smaller, more around their own height or choose to cruise on a bit longer version for the fun of it. Intermediate surfers will want to ride it a bit longer than their height or even add an extra 6 or more inches above that to maximize their paddle power, stability and glide. If your paddling conditioning is a bit on the weak side, the Score Lord will help give you all the advantages possible while still allowing quicker progression and fun sessions!

Comes stock as a 5 fin so you can choose the fin set-up that suits your needs best, the Score Lord is all about more waves, more flow, a perfectly tuned blend of paddle power and performance that keeps you scoring, session after session.

REAL Review
Byron Sewell took his Pyzel Score Lord to the uncrowded left points of Cardon Resort. A perfect testing ground to feel out a new board.

Byron is 5’9 x 180lbs riding a stock dims 6’6 @ 40.4L

“First impression… oh yes.

At 53 years old and a lifetime surfer, I know what I like.

Starting with the nose - important for me.

Tomo-style noses don’t do it for me, and narrow HP noses don’t carry enough foam on steep drops to give me confidence.

This one looks right, feels right—you know it when you’re sitting on it in the water.

That’s the feeling of this board. It’s like I’ve been surfing it for years.

Rails are super friendly—remind me of my Christensons.

The board has enough foam to give me an edge over shortboarders, but with a performance tail that holds in the pocket and can turn on a dime.

Longer rail line = easy speed through flat sections, cruise control engaged so easily I was doing a lot of Mikey Feb’s type foot work. High lines to big carves . It was a blast.

First surf: soft head-high to three foot overhead point. So lots of round houses, mid-face turns and fun high lines and floaters —I tried a bunch of late drops, even a few no-paddle takeoffs. No problems there . .

On my backside, I drove bottom turns like frontside carves—trying to find the limit.

Board kept responding, no slide outs just clean power carves. So freaking fun.

I ran large Futures Jordy Smith thrusters on bigger surf, downsized to a Christenson-style thruster on head-high days (less rake).

Next stop: Pavones or Mexico points and barrels. I want this thing in real pits—I think it’s going to shine.

Final take: Pyzel Score Lord gets a strong nod from a lifelong surfer.”
