The Reverse Vee Twinzer is a new model in the Reverse Vee line that we have been developing with Maurice Cole.
What makes the Reverse Vee Twinzer special?
Design and Lineage: The Reverse Vee Twinzer is a stretched-out version of the Reverse Vee Diamond Twin. It aims to provide the open-face "skate" feel of the Diamond Twin, but in mid-length sizes ranging from 6'5" to 8'11". This design caters to longer, open-face point breaks, but also performs well in beach breaks, small waves, and good-sized surf.
Fin Setup: This board has an incredibly versatile fin setup. It can be ridden as a straight twin fin or as a twinzer. For the twinzer setup, use 4-degree cant canard fins in the front plug. The plug has a 3-degree plug, and the board is built to work best with a total of 7-degree cant on the front fins.
Twin Fin: When ridden as a twin fin, it uses standard Maurice Cole twin fins, offering an ultra-fast ride with a wide range of use in various wave conditions.
Twinzer: The twinzer setup involves adding canard fins in front of the main twin fins. These canard fins are angled to accelerate water over the main fin, providing added push and improved performance.
Performance: The board is noted for its ability to "outpaddle its volume and length" due to its sleek design and relatively flat rocker, making it a great wave catcher. The diamond tail adds push and extends its range of use. We believe this is one of the best boards we developed with Maurice Cole, standing up against other high-performing boards in the Reverse Vee lineup.
