Top Ten Places in the World to Kitesurf

REAL and Watermen’s Retreat are stoked to be ranked among Sam Light’s “Top Ten Places in the World to Kitesurf”.

Sam is a Slingshot, Wind Voyager, and O’Neill teamrider, as well as a 4X winner of the Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational.

Sam talked highly of Cape Hatteras, it’s steady wind, incredible downwinders, the REAL Slider Park, and consistent waves. He also said it’s an awesome place to learn to kiteboard, with REAL Watersports having a very professional operation.

Sam did say besides kiteboarding “there’s not much else to do”, but we can’t get enough of the surfing, foiling, sailing, fishing, skating, beaches and all the history along this coast that keep us occupied every day of the week.

Thanks Sam for the shout out and being part of the incredible reputation Cape Hatteras has in the international kiteboarding scene. We’re looking forward to having you back soon!
