Patagonia M's R3 Regulator FZ Wetsuit-Black

I typically wear my wetsuits until they are filled with holes and leaking water through every seam. I bought this suit ~1.5 years ago and while it does look like it has been ~well used~, it still keeps me super warm and cozy. It is so soft, easy on and off, and it is nice to see they use sustainable materials and factories with fair trade practices.

It does feel very warm at the upper limit of the water grade. I found the sweet spot was between 45°–52° F.

I love looking for the next session and am very fortunate to be a in a place where I get to spend close to 7 hours on the water surfing, kiting or foiling everyday. My friends have always described the Patagonia wetsuits as "completely bomb-proof and almost too warm".

I finally bought one to see what the hype was about and I am so impressed. The wetsuit is so, so warm. I bought this to replace an old wetsuit and it feels warmer than one of the new wetsuits I own that are even thicker than this one. The neoprene doesn't feel too thick and it does have lots of stretch. It is a stiffer wetsuit on the first wear but it quickly breaks in and the seams really do look indestructible.

The sizing on these suits is a little different but does make sense. I'd recommend trying one on if you can, but the sizing chart is spot on and helped me pick the right suit the first time. I'm 6'4" and normally wear a XLT in other brands but I fit in an LT Patagonia Regulator very well.

I'd recommend this suit for people who are looking to maximize durability and warmth; this suit is built to keep you warm for hours and be bomb-proof.
