Foil Drive Assist MAX+ Kit (Gen 2.5) w/ Armstrong Integrated Mast

This package pairs the Foil Drive Assist MAX+ with the Armstrong A+ System 795mm Integrated Foil Drive Carbon Mast. Unit, battery, integrated mast motor, mast and the Armstrong plate bolts all ship together.

The motor is built into the mast rather than clamped to it, and sits further forward than a typical mount to reduce lifting torque. Takeoffs and touchdowns are smoother, and the pod does not stall the board when it catches the surface.

Motor Position

Both versions are the same 795mm mast. What changes is how far down the mast the motor sits, measured from the board.

185mm is the standard foil assist position and the more common choice. Take 650mm if you are riding on the motor full time.

The mast is Armstrong specific. It uses the A+ System connection, so it fits Armstrong fuselages and front wings. Riders on another mast brand, or anyone who wants a mast that also works unpowered, should look at the Retro-Fit High Power Motor Kit.

Battery

Ships with the FM+ 650 Battery: 648Wh of 43V capacity at 3.95kg, enough for a full surf session for most riders. The FM+ 650 is shared with the Fusion, so one battery covers two setups. No adaptor is needed on the MAX+. Fusion riders add the FM+ Battery Adaptor.

Important: Gen2 40V batteries are not compatible with the MAX+. The MAX runs 40V architecture and the MAX+ runs 43V, so the two cannot share batteries or chargers.

The Assist MAX+

The MAX+ is the Gen2.5 replacement for the Assist MAX. Same compact, balanced package, with the power and electronics of the Fusion behind it.
