REAL Review

The Sensor 2S Pro bar is the cream of the crop. It is the same weight as the Sensor 2S but the super rigid Tectanium line set and carbon bar give you the most solid feel of any bar on the market. With the Pro bar you have the most direct feel of your kite and you will have no lag in steering. We often get asked if the extra money for the Pro bar is worth it and the answer is 100% YES! Your kites will fly better and you will thank us for it.

Once you use a Sensor 2S Pro bar you will think all other bars pale in comparison. At first glance this bar looks like most other 4-line bars on the market. Upon further inspection, you recognize that everything on this bar is totally different and really high tech. Most importantly the Sensor 2S Pro is tough as nails and the safety system always works.

Core Sensor 2S Tech Specs:
-Lightest control bar on the market at 1.95 lbs
-Carbon/Titanium bar construction
-24m adjustable Tectanium line. Adjustable to 24m, 22m, 20m and 18m.
-Equal line lengths so this bar can be flown with any 4 line kite
-Kook proof pig tails
-47cm-52cm Adjustable bar end
-Adjustable outside line length hidden under floats
-Rotor quick release
-Plastic coated Tectanium center line
-Ceramic auto untwist center line swivel
-Bungee depower line

What we like:
In an era of kiteboarding companies trying to make the next best gadget to market their bars with, the Core Sensor 2S Pro is a breath of fresh air. The chicken loop and release are the shortest on the market, so you are closer to your bar. This helps a lot with smaller riders. The floats are simple and strong so they won't rip and they are not so oversized that they are in the way. The depower line is buttery smooth when you are fully powered up and the bungee/velcro keeps it tucked up and away from the bar when you are fully depowered. By coating the chicken line with plastic you have no need to replace the chicken loop line ever.

The below bar swivel is one of a kind and never sticks. We packed it with fine sand, coarse sand, tons of salt water and nothing could jam this swivel up. The S-neck on the swivel comboed with the ceramic swivel assembly makes the center lines untwist on their own with no effort. It is so cool to watch the bar unwind with no effort.

You can't appreciate a light weight bar until you ride one. Think about the amount of times you sheet in and out in a session. Imagine doing that with 1 pound less weight. It really does make a difference.

The Uni Body interior of the bar makes any input directly translate into the kite. The net result is your kite feels faster and you have more control.

Insider info:
Some people like to have different line lengths for different size kites or different styles of riding. Often times bigger kites have the longer lines and smaller the shorter. Also for learning you can shorten the lines to have a smaller wind window.

We were terrified when we first saw the twist release. Our first impression was, "Oh that's not going to work." Well we were totally wrong since we have had no false releases with the Core Sensor twist release. We also found out that there are a few things that a twist release does better than others on the market. This allows your entire chicken loop assembly to be shorter. This gets you closer to the bar/depower strap and makes kiteboarding easier. The other thing we found out is that you can twist and release the safety even when the bar is sheeted all the way in. All other bars with push away releases will jam in this scenario.

The flagging safety is one of a kind. The Y on the center lines is about one third of the way up the lines. Core figured out some sort of magic where they can have the kite flag out with no resistance on the center Techanium line that goes through the bar. This keeps the line mess to a minimum and will allow you to reassemble and relaunch your kite after release. Rebuilding your bar in the water works about 80% of the time with the Core bar where most other center line safety bars your chances are about a 50/50. The high Y on this assembly makes the bar harder to un twist if your kite inverts.

Why you want the Core Sensor 2S Pro Control Bar:
The Pro bar is the most premium bar on the market. There is no comparison to anything else out there. The direct and super responsive feel is unparalleled.

Best of the Best

This bar is simply the best. I have used this bar for literally hundred of hours now and am so happy with it.

Pros:
-Super lightweight. Something that you normally wouldn't think makes a huge difference, but go back to back with this vs other heavier brands and you'll see quickly why it matters.
-Center lines that automatically straighten when you sheet the bar in is HUGE! This is my favorite part of the Core bar. For someone who is always looping their kite, this makes such a difference. Gone are the days of endlessly turning your center swivel. I don't miss that one bit!!
-Detached floats from the bar ends make steering response fast, direct, and crisp
-High V center line split makes the steering spot on
-Smooth sheeting with plastic coated center line

Cons:
-Twist safety release takes getting used to. It can be difficult to reassemble when wearing gloves or bouncing around in the surf.
-High V center line split can make self landing your kite a little more difficult. Still works fine in lighter winds though.

The big question is: "is it worth getting the Pro Bar over the regular Sensor 2S?"
The answer for a large majority of kiters is YES. If you are someone who kites regularly, and wants get the most out of your premium Core kite, get a bar that will match. The Tectanium lines will hold up to more use, keep their set length, and keep your kite flying true even after hundreds of hours. Invest the little bit extra into a bar that will be around for you longer.

Instant Power

Yesterday I took out the 11m XR4 with sensor 2s pro and 144 Space Craft in 20-30 mph of wind, and had a KILLER session. Right off the break I could feel how stable this kite was just walking into the water. Thanks to this kite/bar combo having great bar feel, I could tell exactly where it was at without even having to look. When you power dive this kite, you get instant power. I was amazed at how well the kite still flew fully depowered. The times that I over ran my kite and thought I was about to deal with the kite inverting, it didn't. Every single time, it would drift back perfectly into the window and be ready to recover from my mistake. It seems odd to say, but I actually felt fully connected to the kite. If I am looking to take a boost session again in the future, it will be the XR4 every time. Being on the more beginner/intermediate side, I found more progression in my jumping on this session than any other. I think this is because of how smooth it launches and lands you for the jump. It felt like an elevator every time I jumped.
