Armstrong MA MK II
Introducing The
Mid Aspect Mark II

It's been described like riding the freshest Japanese powder on a bluebird day, or a hot knife through butter - a foiling experience like no other. The evolution of the Mid Aspect front foil takes your flow to the next level by combining ultra forgiving pitch stability, an incredibly broad speed range, and seamless rail to rail carving. Whether it's winging or surfing, draw your line with the MA Mk II.

Chord Length
Rock solid stability.

The MA Mk II gives you total control for winging and surf foiling progression. For intermediates, the MA Mk II is more forgiving than the HA with its rock-solid stability and consistent lift that will boost your confidence and ability to tackle powered conditions. Advanced riders benefit from how stable the MA Mk II is when landing maneuvers or pushing hard in critical conditions.

Foil Section
Amazing speed range.

This foil section has evolved to deliver a greatly lowered takeoff speed on par with the HA while maintaining a top speed capability similar to the first generation MA, all while recovering instantly from breaches. This makes the MA Mk II ready for everything from winging to prone and tow surfing.

Narrow Span
Seamless roll feel.

The narrower span of the mid aspect outline gives the MA Mk II a quick, seamless roll rate and super fluid carving feel. All sizes are 8.0 AR oriented at carving at higher speeds with increased pump and glide that’s perfect for surfing and a dream when carving.

Progress Without Limits

Incredible pitch stability

The MA Mk II gives you total control for winging and surf foiling progression. If you're already riding an HA foil, the MA Mk Il will feel more forgiving with its rock solid stability and consistent lift that will boost your confidence and ability to tackle powered conditions. Advanced riders - including 2x GWA Wave World Champion Cash Berzolla - appreciate just how stable the MA Mk Il is when landing maneuvers or pushing hard in critical conditions.

Draw your line

Increased speed range

At the core of this foil lies the new foil section shape that delivers a massive speed range. It's evolved to deliver a greatly lowered takeoff speed on par with the HA while maintaining a top speed capability similar to the first generation MA. The speed range across sizes makes the MA Mk Il ready for everything from winging to prone and tow surfing. Like the original MA, the foil section in the Mk II recovers instantly from breaches so you can draw your line without hesitation.

Dream Carving Machine

Narrower span for a seamless roll feel.

The narrower span of the mid aspect outline increases carving speed for a given area compared to a high aspect foil, giving the MA Mk Il a quick, seamless roll rate and super fluid carving feel. All sizes are 8.0 AR oriented at carving at higher speeds with increased pump and glide that's perfect for surfing. Whether it's winging or foil surfing, the MA Mk Il is a dream to lay into a turn.

MA MKII Construction
Top Tier Construction

Performance and durability

Foils experience extreme torsional and bending loads, which is why we've crafted the MA Mk Il from premium pre-preg Toray high modulus carbon fiber. It results in an ultra strong, stiff, and lightweight foil that performs exceptionally. When combined with our industry-leading manufacturing quality, the consistency of this material and construction choice makes for the very best in performance and durability.

Nice Front Wing

I really enjoy riding the MA 1190 in a wide range of conditions across multiple disciplines . I prone surf it, kite it, and wing it. I am 6'-1 and 165lbs and find that the 1190 works for me across a wide range of wind speed and wave size.

490 Impressive Low End

Focusing on big air kitefoil, I demoed the MA490 MKII with hopes of scoring lots of power for huge airs and loops. The conditions I was given had different intentions... Regardless, the MA490 provided amazing low end performance as I foiled 13mph on an 8m at 160lbs. I'm really excited to add this foil into my quiver knowing I'll be able to enjoy all of the cruisey, flowy lightwind sessions while being on the same equipment I can hold down in 25+.

Mid Aspect - High Performance

I kitefoiled the MA590MKII in 22mph on an 8m at 160lbs and this thing RIPS. This foil holds down and remain stable even under lots of power and speed. Afraid of breaking a foil doing airs? This foil kept together after many hard landings on kitefoil kiteloops. The Armstrong gear is nuke proof.

The next step in front foils!

Just got a wing session on the new MA MKII—mind blown!
Conditions:
• Side offshore wind, 25mph
• 3–4 ft crumbly surf – perfect for winging
• Gear: 48L Wing FG, 795 mast, 60 fuse, Dart 140 tail, MA MKII 990, 4m XPS
I planned to use my HA780, but was able to switch to the new 990 at the last minute. These wings are a cheat code for winging—carving felt way better, and both top- and low-end performance were noticeably improved.
I went as fast as I’ve ever gone and felt totally in control. At the same time, the low-end made tacks and jibes effortless. The lower stall speed compared to an HA gives you tons of time to complete transitions.
For powered winging, the MKII is the go-to.
I’m getting myself set up with a full MKII quiver. I’ve been riding the HA780, 980, and 1080. Going forward, I’ll add the 990 and 790 for good waves and stronger wind and keep the 980 and 1080 for lighter wind or smaller wave sessions.
I’m a very experienced winger, long time surfer, 5’8”, 160lbs and LOVE ocean winging.

Awesome front Wing !

This front wing is super fun! I have been riding the 1190 and it is perfect for my ability level, I am a beginner to intermediate rider. I have done at least ten wing foil sessions with this front wing. I get super long rides in both directions and was able to hit jibes consistently on my strong side and weak side. I love how this wing is super stable but still has similar speed and glide compared to the HA series. I have been pairing it with the speed 180 tail. I have used it in a range of wind conditions and can handle 15mph days all the way to cranking 30mph days! I would downsize to the 990 if wind gets super strong . I highly recommend this wing for any level of foiler out there!
