TOOLLESS INTERLOOP SYSTEM WITH LOCKGUARD
Switch effortlessly between disciplines - no tools required. Simply push, twist, pull, lock and go. Loops are made from optimised TPU material for flex and durability, with a more rigid freeride security finger to prevent unexpected unhooking. Flexible LockGuard safety ring prevents accidental release of your interloop.
PROTECTIVE PU-COVERED LEADER LINES
To help prevent line abrasion from uncovered lines against your skin, we've used colour-coded PU tubing covers. The covers also help them remain rigid and out of the way when the flying lines aren't under tension.
LIGHTWEIGHT OVER-MOLDED TRIM HANDLE WITH DYNEEMA LINES

KOOK-PROOF FLYING LINE CONNECTORS
Ensure you always set up your flying lines correctly. Designed to be exactly the same length so you can easily change the front (knotted end) and rear (lark's head loop) connectors to match most other manufacturers' kite configurations. Please familiarise yourself with the safety procedures and trimming instructions outlined in your kite’s user manual.
INTUITIVE SINGLE-ACTION RELOAD
Security and performance in all conditions. Our patented and ISO-approved Connect Quick Release (QR) raises the bar in kite control system safety. The red QR handle has been ergonomically designed to fit in your hand comfortably for an industry-standard push away release. All loaded or running surfaces feature highly polished 316 stainless steel and low-friction components. The larger diameter bungee inside the QR helps reduce accidental release.
THREE ADJUSTABLE BAR LENGTH OPTIONS
Fine tune the turning speed of your kite. The Navigator is available in three sizes 50-55cm (L), 45-50cm (M) and 38-43cm (S). To extend/retract bar length simply pull out cassettes on the bar-ends, rotate 180 degrees and snap back into place.
SPINNING LEASH ATTACHMENT RING
Our oval-shaped leash pin ring is elongated for easier fastening of the leash carabiner, and spins to help prevent your landing line from twisting.
SOFT EVA BAR ENDS WITH RETRACTABLE LINE WINDERS
The positive buoyancy bar ends with integrated line winder bungees are injection moulded in one piece with no-glue seams for long-lasting quality. The bar ends ensure nothing hard comes in touch with you or your board, float the entire bar, and also contain the concealed rear line adjustment. Even the best quality lines shrink over time, so after a month, we recommend you check your lines are all even and drop them to the bottom knot. It’s easy and takes only a minute to make the change.

ADJUSTABLE CLEATED TRIM SYSTEM
Provides industry-proven line-adjustment when needed. The cleat base has been designed with circular geometry for consistent bar spin. In overpowered conditions the cleat allows you to shorten your front lines and remain in a comfortable body position.
DURABLE COVERED MAINLINE, WITH CUSTOMISED TPU TUBING
Symmetric multibore landing line channel allows the landing line/flying line to pass through without snagging, regardless of the orientation when deploying or reloading. Crafted from a patented material specifically formulated for high abrasion flexible applications.
ADJUSTABLE LENGTH FLYING LINES 22M (12M + 10M)
22m lines have a split at 12m, which is far enough for the bar to travel to completely depower our largest kite when you flag out. Remove the standard 10m top section of flying line and 12m lines are ideal for schools to teach with and for foil racing. 8m and 6m line extensions are available as an accessory for wave riding or tighter kiteloops.
PREMIUM QUICK RELEASE LEASH
The Navigator Control System is supplied with a premium quality freeride Leash with a high load carabiner, soft neoprene cover and non-abrasive elasticised webbing. The leash QR mechanism has been modified to ensure correct orientation is maintained when released for consistent, safe release and reload.
INDUSTRY-LEADING 100% DYNEEMA SK99 FLYING LINES
Strong, thinner profile, pre-stretched flying lines mean less parasitic drag and uncompromised direct performance. With 88m of flying lines in the air, you can really feel the difference thinner line creates. Our latest technology high-load LIROS DC-401 Pro flying lines have extreme stretch resistance and minimal diameter (1.6mm).
OMNIDIRECTIONAL GRIP WITH OFFSET FINGER BAR AND COLOUR-CODED COMPONENTS
Feel more connected. The Navigator is designed with a comfortable ergonomic grip for a natural grasp and the tactile offset finger bar is slightly oval, so you can feel when the control bar is orientated correctly. The colour-coded bar ends, leader tubing and line retainer pull tabs give a nod to our sailing heritage, port (red) and starboard (green).

Great control bar!

The new Navigator bar is wonderful! Feels great in the hands. Has an easy to use quick release. Depower was easy to reach and felt smooth and really easy to make minor adjustments. Would absolutely recommend this bar for anyone building a North quiver or upgrading if you're still using an older navigator bar.

Tightened up, intuitive

From 2022 to 2021 North has dialed this bar in so everything works seamlessly. The design of the control bar is incredibly intuitive, and getting it perform takes little effort or forethought.
The quick release is the most reliable that I've used: you can tell easily that the chicken loop is locked into place, and I've never had issues with it releasing unexpectedly even when it's been covered in sand at the beach. The keeper tube is the right length and pliable so that you can hook in easily, but not have it slip out.
The molded ergonomics of the bar grip make it so you could fly this bar with your eyes closed. In my progression of kite loops and heli loops, I've found the control to be super intuitive because I know instinctively if the bar is backwards or forwards. I normally use the 45-50cm size unless my kite is 13m and above, then I'll bump up to 50-55cm with long lines.
Lastly, I've found their safety leashes to be really dependable. I've never had an issue with the gate locking up or getting worn out. The short length is perfect for any kind of free riding, etc.

An Amazing Bar - with minor improvements needed

This is a really well designed bar that can be used for all disciplines at all levels. The tool less interchangeable chicken loop is awesome! It makes it really easy and fast to switch out on the go - ensuring you maximize your time on the water. The only thing that could be improved with this is the tiny little O ring. It is incredibly difficult to pull over the lip until it stretches over time.

The bar texture is not the most comfortable, but it has a lot of grip! I also really like that you can change the width of the bar with the tabs at the end. The depower system works really nicely as well, as the rope pulls through smoothly and locks into place where you want it to. I just wish they didn't use a hard piece at the end as the hole is too small for average fingers so you end up grabbing it instead of using it as intended.

The Quick Release system is perfect and needs no improvements! It feels solid and is designed simply - I have no issue trusting it for big air tricks. At the end of the day, the bar is great - it performs really well and I have no problem taking it out every session.

Solid bar

The 2022 Navigator is a solid all around bar. Its clean and simple with some well designed features. The Quick Release mechanism seems to work really well. Its super easy to re-engage the chicken loop after you have opened it up, even if you are in the water bobbing around. Its a simple and great design. The lines on these bars seem to hold up really well to prolonged use. The one thing I would like to see different is the loop that you grab to pull through depower. I have XL hands so it might be me, but its an awkward size to be able to grab and pull easily. There is a loop on it too but that's too small to put a finger through. Other than that minor thing, I've been happy with this bar every time I've used it.

The Best is Back

I really like how North kept the bar very similar to the previous years with some minor cosmetic details. Ever since this bar came out in 2020 it has been one of my favorites. It's near perfect ease of use design is backed up by the fact that you can customize your loop to fit your riding style. The ergo grip feels excellent in the hand and I rode it past dark last night and could feel that I was grabbing the bar the right way without having to look at it. It feels amazing pair with the new Orbit!
