Our Lift tail wings (backs) are all new for 2021. We designed our tail wings as a lineup to have a ride experience for everyone and everything.

Our tail wings this year have a slightly longer fuselage, this means faster drawn out turns and a more uniform balance without front wings.

The larger wings offer more stability and less movement with the cost of added drag. The smaller wings are going to be faster (due to less drag) and are more maneuverable because they are less stable.

When choosing your back, remember that smaller wings lock in at higher speeds and larger wings are better for lower speeds.

Florence 21x

The Florence 21 X mixes traits from the 25Glide, 20Carve, and 21Flow all in the name of making an ultra high performance downwind tail. The result is a tail that Nathan describes as "being covered in dish soap, the glide is psycho". The medium length fuselage provides just enough stability, while the low angle of incidence provides limitless glide to connect bumps.

21x compared to other wings:

• Vs. 20 Carve
• The Florence 21 X has a longer fuselage and lower angle of incidence. Result = More glide and stability at the sacrifice of more drawn out turns.
• Vs. 25 Glide
• The Florence 21 X has a similar length fuselage but higher angle of incidence and smaller surface area wing. Result = More front foot pressure and similar glide.
• Vs. 21 Flow
• The Florence 21 X has a shorter fuselage and lower angle of incidence. Result = More glide and tighter turns at the sacrifice of stability.

16 Grubb

• The Grubb 16 is Brian's personal stabilizer, a shorter span than the 20 Carve, paired with a short fuse for a loose and dialed feel. The tail pivots fast and stays free through the carves and still recovers clean. Brian's been running it behind the boat, on eFoils, and towing in the ocean. Pair with the Grubb 150 for his full setup.

20 Carve

• This is the smallest back wing in our fleet, making surfing feel extremely lively. If you want to slash some aggressive turns and you like the tail feeling extremely light and low drag, this is it.

20 Carve Ext

• The 20 Carve Ext keeps the lively, snappy character of the 20 Carve and adds a longer fuselage for more pitch stability and grip at speed. It is built for advanced riders who want the low-drag feel of a small tail wing with more control on steeper, more committed wave faces.

26 Carve

• The 26" Carve is the sportiest carve wing, ideal for experienced surf foil riders.

26 Carve Ext

• The 26 Carve Ext moves the tail back to an 8" fuselage, adding pitch stability and balance across a wider range of surf conditions and rider weights than the standard 26. The surface area stays the same. The Carve series feedback stays the same. What changes is how settled the foil feels through varied and demanding conditions -- less active management, more focus on the wave. Works well with high mounts on the LIFTX. Intermediate and above, any weight. Works across surf, wake, wing, kite, and downwind.

33 Carve

• The 33" Carve is our more stable carve wing, for reliable tight turns and mobility-but with added drag versus our 26" carve.

25 Glide

• Our smallest and fastest wing
• A shop favorite for pure speed
• Not recommended for the eFoil, but amazing for surfing
• Pairs well with the 60 Surf, 100 Surf, 150 Surf and all High Aspect wings

32 Glide

• Sporty and fast
• Less size and angle than the larger sizes, offers better glide and faster speeds
• Pairs well with the 60 Surf, 100 Surf, 150 Surf and all High Aspect wings

36 Glide

• Lift's Glide Series wings offer a smooth, ultra-efficient feel that is very balanced between the feet.
• These back wings are great for linking waves while pumping or down-winding. They are also good for maximizing battery life on the eFoil.
• The 36 Glide is 2023's gold standard and will give the rider plenty of turning capability without feeling unstable. It offers excellent balance and directional control for a perfect-as-it-gets turn.

46 Glide

• Lift's Glide Series wings offer a smooth, ultra-efficient feel that is very balanced between the feet.
• These back wings are great for linking waves while pumping or down-winding. They are also good for maximizing battery life on the eFoil.
• New for 2023, the 46 Glide offers maximum stability and slows down the turning for a more conservative and relaxed ride. It offers excellent balance and directional control for a perfect-as-it-gets turn.

38 Surf V2

48 Surf V2

• Our largest and most stable wing.
• Pairs well with 200 Surf,250 Surf and 300 Surf

We love the efficiency of smaller back wings and want to introduce more riders to the small back-wing experience - while maintaining the stability they're used to with a larger back wing. The Flow Series achieves this balance by increasing the fuselage length and reducing the back wing surface area, resulting in a design that can be ridden smaller than Surf, Glide, and Carve Series back wings.

21 Flow

• Experience the perfect fusion of efficiency and stability with the 21 Flow Back Wing - designed for advanced riders seeking the advantages of an ultra-small tail wing without sacrificing pitch stability. The small surface area provides unlimited glide, and the longer fuselage gives a steady sense of control while cruising through any maneuver.

31 Flow

• The 31 Flow Back Wing is medium-sized in surface area, but offers plenty of pitch stability for beginning and intermediate riders. The smaller size reduces drag and the longer fuselage provides maximum stability. Whether honing your skills in prone foiling take-offs or perfecting your jibes in kiting or winging, the 31 Flow is the ultimate wingman.

26 Flow

• The 26 Flow is our medium-sized back wing in the Flow series. Slippery yet stable, the 26 Flow features a small surface area back wing for efficiency and pairs it with a long fuselage for stability. The result is an unmatched equilibrium between efficiency and stability. The 26 Flow is the perfect back wing for intermediate riders looking to elevate their level or advanced riders seeking a tail whose ease of use allows for increased confidence in any maneuver.
