Liquid Force Galaxy Dimensions
4'2 x 19.5" | 16.7L

4'8 x 20.5 | 20.2L
Tech Specs
  • Lightweight EPS epoxy construction
  • 2/3 length grip grooved deck pad with kick tail
  • Pronounced double concave
  • Chined rails
  • Track mounting system (Hardware included)
  • Inserts for center line or windsurf style footsteps (Straps included)
What We Like
  • The two sizes offer something for everyone. The 4'8 is by far the most popular and fits beginner to advanced riders. The 4'2 is best suited for someone wanting a smaller board for higher performance.
  • There is enough volume in the 4'8 that you can still pull off touch down transitions and more entry level foil maneuvers.
  • Strong and light construction. We beat the crap out of these boards and they still look brand new after months of beatings.
  • New grooved traction is really grippy. The kick tail keeps your back foot from sliding off when you ride strapless.
  • Track mounting hardware and three footstraps are included.
  • Big double concave displaces water easily with out sticking so when you come off foil the board pops you right back up onto foil.
  • Chined rails keeps the board from sticking when you are really hiked over and touch down the rail.
  • Any foil that mounts on tracks will work on this board.
What We Don't Like
  • Some people have said they don't like the graphics, but we think they look sick in person.
  • We have been using the 4'8 for foil surfing, and we wished they put a leash plug behind the pad.
Why You Want The Galaxy 4'2" or 4'8":

This is our favorite kite foilboard on the market. Now with the second size you can't miss with the Galaxy V2.

Learned On This

My very first session on a foil was on the 4'8. I really like the shape and size of this board. It responds well while making tiny adjustments and is easy to correct when the foil started to lean. Other foil boards I tried after the Galaxy seemed a bit harder to maneuver and touchier. Definitely a great board to build confidence and dial in weight/foot placement.

Easy to use and fun!

I love riding and teaching foil lessons on this board! I recommend the 4'8" over the 4'2" for the average kite foiler or beginner foiler. Both boards are great, but the smaller one is better for the more experienced foiler. Easy to use with straps, or strapless which is my favorite. The board is light weight and has rails that are thin enough to be easy to grab while getting the board under your feet, and also has enough float to make water starts easy in lighter winds.

Light

4'8" Board is perfect size/shape for beginners and advanced riders. 4'2" is more maneuverable but not hugely different. Ive seen a few of these break (buckle or delaminating) but LF is great on warranties. Its plastic instead of glass so the upside is they are light, and don't ding. My favorite board.

Milky Way Galaxy Shuttle!

This board is fantastic! I would recommend this board to anyone who is starting to foil or has been foiling for awhile. With 20L of foam I feel that it is a happy medium compared to some of the other boards that are either HUGE and bulky or tiny!

I really like the new traction on the board. I ride this board barefoot a lot and it is very comfortable and not to rough on my feet.

I would recommend to this board to anyone who is looking to go out and have a great time in the clouds!

Loving the concave deck

Extremely easy riding board in a high tech light weight package. Board has enough float to help keep you going when you come off foil but you can sink the rail in the water when water starting strapless. TONS of strap inserts so it can be set up with one, two or three strap set up. Love the concave deck and that the deck pad as a tail kick so you don't slide off the back when when riding strapless.
