from 2058 reviewsYes, the answer is yes. This is the best freeride parawing on the market. This Pocket Rocket V2 is a solid upgrade from the first version which was already really good. My first impression was that the steering control on this parawing was better than anything else that I've used. It flies very intuitively with direct steering. Its not a 'learned' type of steering but instead it just handles exactly as you would want it to. Low end power to get up on foil is good. This parawing absolutely hammers up wind and with good speed as well. The lines are Ozone's upraded lines now, same as whats on the Power Pack. They are soft in the hands which is essential for when you are running your hands up the bridals to stash, and somehow the lines just don't tangle. The shorter bridals are also really nice to be able to stash easier. If you are someone who needs good upwind performance in your parawing, this is for you. The Power Pack is great if all you care about is going downwind and you really want to prioritize stashability and low end start, but if you need upwind performance and overall freeride performance the Pocket Rocket V2 is unmatched.
I got to try the 4.5m Quest on a recent session and was definitely impressed with this parawing. The wing has very good low end power and especially flying control when you are trying to do your water start. The bar shape is nice as well and having the portion that goes past the A bridal makes for a nice spot to grab if you are overpowered, giving you the ability to keep it controlled without over working your arms. Steering control was great for this large of a wing. The bridals themselves are a bit uncomfortable in the hands I felt. The lines are very thin then the splices up towards the top of the bridals are a bit sharp. Overall though a very good wing that has good low end power, flies well, and stashes well.
I have only ridden the 7 Meter of this kite so far but I noticed improvements in how the kite handles gusty and overpowered conditions compared to the previous models. The Xrx has fixed the bouncy and spongy feel of the smaller sizes when Riding lit, while still maintaining the sheet and go power and easy steering that the Xr is known for.
Foil Drive Fusion Session #5 today on local Raleigh lakes. Review of Fusion for the newbie heavier guy. 224lbs with 2mm wetsuit. Borrowed a 60L Apple Slice - wasn’t sure how Session 1 would go with 60l board? Put on S1 2450 wing and was up / planing /standing / riding on foil in Gear 1 or 45% throttle and backing off to 35% on foil. Controlling pitch, bringing pod out of water and gliding back to water, touch down and back up and making turns - so we proved the S1 2450 makes any board ‘foilable.’ The power was incredible!
Session 2 switched to CF2050 and continued improving but vs 2450 needed more power 75% throttle to plane, stand & foil downwind and 85% - 95% into wind. I need to see how I am using Boost cause it seemed to have little effect. Once on foil reduce power 10 - 20% or a gear or 2.
Sessions 3-5 continued to improved and doing some mini pumping. Lots of falls trying to figure out pumping! Foil size seemed much more determinant of riding ability than board size. Exceeded my expectations plus share how Fusion is working for someone new with less than ideal technique. The 18.5cm mast was definitely the right call so again thanks for the exchange.

Been riding and teaching on this kite the last two months in all sizes and conditions. This is the flagship jumping kite on the market it’s so easy to use, sheet and go power delivery, lofty jumps, easy landings, and responsive turning. Biggest difference I noticed from previous models was the structure of the leading edge, it felt great in gusty overpowered conditions no sponginess or warp in the leading edge. Core has done it again such a great all around twin tip focused kite. 🤙
Master model flies way smoother than all other 5 struts I’ve flown. Brainchild construction makes this kite so light and responsive. You get a ton of lift and hang time on boosts, overall feels great.
I have a lot of wetsuits and this is the best one that I own. Mystic has had the worst fit of suits. They have been hard to get into, strange fit and tight spots. Just didn't work that well for me.
The new model of Majestic with the Yamamoto rubber is crazy good. The fit is perfect and it is easy to get on and off. I am shocked how well it fit. The stretch and comfort is second to none. Oneill Hyperfreak has always been my benchmark and this new Mystic Majestic is better on all aspects. The only exception is that the Hyperfreak neck is still better than the glide skin material they use on the Majestic.
5 stars for Mystic for making an amazing new suit.
Haven’t had one problem with them still wear them basically every session. Easy to get on and off. Great drainage holes stop me from having elephant feet after session
Absolutely love these so comfy and don’t give me blisters like other booties. Best part is they are easy to get on and off. The drain holes in side are elite so I’m not walking around with elephant feet after every session
This is the all around board for me it’s not as agressive as the choice but allows me to still get that pop and hard edge when looking to jump. Even in light wind conditions I’m still grabbing this board in a larger size because they keep the rocker and it doesn’t feel like a flat door slapping the water
Super solid rocker on this board able to sit my back seat and edge against the kite in over powered conditions. Really love the snap this board gives me on the take offs as well as the soft landings with the concave bottom shape
This kite is basically my go to for most days. It has the ability to do some freestyle and boosting but also is solid in the surf and under powered condition. Just a solid all rounder for anyone getting into kiteboarding
Used it in about 22 mph. It had a crazy amount of loft and pull. Only thing I wasn’t used to was the amount of speed I was landing with as it sat further in the wind window then the xr I’m used to riding
The full boom is a really nice upgrade and easy to install on the XPS Mkii wings. Just get the right size from the size chart. It comes with a nice bag as well so you can store your wing with the full boom installed at all times.
