I rode a full F-One setup: Rocket Free Surf Foilboard (71L), V6 Quad X 4M wing, UHM Carbon 85cm mast (12mm), SK8 HM Carbon 850 front wing, and XS 138 carving tail.
This entire kit blew me away.
The board rode much smaller than its volume suggests, but still had plenty of float to get up and going. Once on foil, it felt even lighter, with minimal swing weight and really nice balance.
The foil setup was fast, responsive, and super efficient—tons of glide with high-end turning performance.
The Quad X wing delivered great power and stability while still feeling responsive. I loved the boom setup, though I did miss having a window—could be a drawback in more crowded spots.
For context, I’m an experienced foiler (~160 lbs), typically riding Armstrong gear in the 45–65L midlength board range, so the 71L was a bit outside my norm. That said, I’d absolutely ride this board again—especially for ocean sessions or parawinging. It offers a super stable platform to get started, then really comes alive once you’re on foil.

Okay, the setup is simple, the wings are butter smooth, but I feel like nobody is talking about the greatest attribute of this setup…
YOU CAN SWAP WINGS WHILE FLYING YOUR KITE!! What good is a quiver of front and rear wings if you have to land your kite and pull out your tool kit? Nobody does that. You would just deal with the wrong setup you have rigged or change your kite size… with One Lock you just kite back to the beach;
-Turn your board upside down
-Open the one lock latch
-Wiggle out your tail. (foot on rear of board)
-Slide out your front wing (smack front of wing once to loosen )
-Reassemble new setup!
It is SUCH A BONUS FEATURE to change your wings as conditions change or if you want to adjust your riding style for waves, speed, stability or just to pop on your 1255 because the wind got super light and you want to foil in a gnats fart. It’s awesome.
I feel like I’m the only one doing that and other foilers are missing out. It’s also great as you transition to higher performance wings. Get out there on your comfort setup, get dialed, then come in and pop on the big boy pants setup. Tear it up.
The wings are great. No disturbances in the water flow over the foil due to screws. They’re so stable. No cavitation or sketchiness at speed, in waves, or when you breach… they’re just great. And Slingshot keeps making more wings to swap out.
Just buy it. Get full carbon. You won’t look back with regret. It’s a great setup.
My favourite thing to do! The first unit I got was a dud but have had zero issues with the new unit after about 20 sessions. Real was also really good about getting the issue solved quickly!
Loving this board after about 20 sessions! My Cab foils like to sit a little forward of the middle position.
I use this resin for most of my repairs due to its fast acting cure time. I usually sand the area first to prep the damaged area and again once it has hardened. I take this on all my surf trips and quick repairs .
I purchased this helmet last winter initially for a surf trip, but i use it every session for wing foiling. It's super lightweight easy to adjust on the fly and super comfortable. Highly recommend this helmet for any sport !
We recently got these foil boards in the rental shop at real. I took out the 85L board for a session. I was a bit skeptical at first since i usually ride the 100L F-one rocket, but i was surprised how easily it got off the water and on to foil. During the lulls I was able to pump the board once or twice to instantly get back on foil! Super fast smooth and a lot of flow and carves at ease. This board is a lot more narrow then im used to so riding switch was a bit more difficult but after my second or third attempt was able to get on foil and get super long rides. The traction pad is a bit rough so i wore booties to protect the top of my feet, but overall i really enjoyed riding this new model in the shop and highly recommend.
Going out in light breeze on a heavy 15m or 17m that drives like a bus is a canon event that everyone experiences at one point or another. Repetitively power diving the kite to get up to speed and set an edge, and waiting a full business day for that huge kite to move across the window is not very much fun at all, and keeps a lot of people from wanting to go out in those conditions again.
That's at least how I felt until I grabbed a 15m Whisper a few days ago in 14kts of breeze; this kite totally changed my outlook on light air sessions! From the get-go, I noticed this kite was very light, and had a lot of power behind it in the small gusts I was cruising through. I'm 195 pounds and used this kite with the North Navigator Pro bar 50-55cm, riding a 137cm F-One Trax. After one good power dive, this kite had the power to get me up to speed and set an edge, and as soon as I created some apparent wind, this kite kept me accelerating and accelerating. It still moves fairly slow being a 15m, but with the wide bar and this kite's construction, it was super manageable. I was able to boost some pretty decent jumps in the light air, and the 5-strut design had me feeling super stable and locked in.
Overall, I now can confidently say I would not kite in any conditions under 17kts on anything else; the Whisper makes those marginal days viably fun! Such a cheat code for getting more sessions in over the course of the year.
I really like this board. I normally kite foil the smaller Armstrong WKT boards and didn't know how I would like the added volume of this board. It felt super responsive under foot, light when jumping, and I honestly didn't notice the lack of nose rocker when landing. I definitely had to adjust my mast positioning with the out the back foil tracks (roughly +2cm forward from where I ride on the WKT) but once I had that figured out I was good to go. Overall I would recommend this board to anyone at any stage of their kite foil journey.
This has been my favorite board to ride as of late, simply because of how smooth it is to ride! This comes down to a combination of the rocker and bottom concaves Ozone used in this design, as well as the construction giving it a really great flex and surface texture feel. It makes edging hard upwind through chop a breeze, and feels insane in smooth flatwater. I'm also a really big fan of the narrower profile of this board, making it feel super nimble. It has a killer matte finish to it as well, which isn't necessarily performance-enhancing, but I really like how it feels compared to some of the glossier boards out there,
Ride this board with the Ozone V3 Double Strap kit on a breezy day, in the chop or in the slick, and you'll be loving life! It's grip on edge translates great popping into a huge air! I love taking a session on this board, even after riding most brands available today. It's a sleeper!
I have ridden the majority of what's available on the market right now, and these have been my personal favorites to grab (paired with the Ozone Torque V4, one of my favorite boards as of late too). These bindings are super comfortable during long sessions, especially barefoot. Something about the material and density of these, combined with the contouring under your toes just feels right, at least for me.
There's other straps available that feel squishier and more comfortable while standing on the ground, but these are killer on the water. They feel super solid and locked in when edging hard upwind, and have the perfect balance of give when you need it. They feel super secure on your feet when you're in the air too; the rough texture on the foam is one of the best attributes of these bindings in all elements of riding. Give these a look if you've never tried them, they're my top choice!
