Foiling

Just finished my first session. Water was 55 and I foiled for about four hours. Warm, comfortable, and great board feel. 👍👍 Follow the sizing guide. I ordered a smaller size than I normally wear, but it was the right call, even with wide feet. Tight at first, but I wore them around the house, and next time on they felt much, much better. Very satisfied.

Rode this board a lot in Fiji towing baby little waves to bigger juicy waves. The construction of this board is top tier armstrong carbon inegra pvc construction with the carbon stringers and track so the board is super stiff and strong. Noah made this board as his all around wake foil board and tow foil board. I like that it has a little more length, volume and rail shape than other tow boards I have ridden. It make the board feel more stable when you are going fast and the take off from the water is really easy. The rail shape has a hard edge and rail out the back of the board which allows Noah to land and deflect off the water the he is landing. For the average Joe, I found this rail shape was a bit stiff for the first session then I grew to really like it. The rail on the Surf 24 and 20L boards is a little thicker and more shaped which is more user friendly but less performance oriented. The 19L volume gives you enough positive buoyancy that jet ski take offs are easy but you have more surface area float for not penetrating on landings or touch downs. The thinner profile than the surf does give you a really responsive feel too. Overall two very big thumbs up on the NF Pro for tow.

I’m 175lbs and have tried the mid length in many sizes. 45L, 55L, 65L, 85L, 100L all great for wing/prone foil depending on weight and experience. I am settling on the 65L to be my “quiver killer” because I can wing it, prone it, and parawing assisted downwinder it.

The smaller sizes are great for powered winging and prone foil. With their long waterline and rounded rails/hull, they take off in light wind and deflect on touch downs extremely well. They are narrow so stability only comes with forward momentum. Just be ready to adjust to a tippier ride before getting to your feet when winging.

The larger sizes are super solid for light wind winging and learning to parawing downwind.

Stable, wide power range, direct feel, and lofty feeling for jumps! Super glad that Naish went the boom route with this one because having more options for grip configuration really helps with transitions, freestyle, and it allows you to manipulate the wing with more leverage. Aluula in a wing just feels right. The lighter and stiffer the better, and it makes all the difference in this wing if you can swing it $$

The pocket rocket is super intuitive especially if you are coming from a wing and kite background. I weigh 175lbs and took the 5m out in mid to high teens for my first parawing assisted downwinder. With a 100L mid length board and a HA 980 front wing I was set up for success. I found the wing to be super stable and it depowered on demand with the right grip. Even figured out how to collapse and redeploy between bumps which was smoother than expected

Advanced rider, had the chance to demo the 580. I was on a 55L mid length with a 6.1M XPS in some not so strong wind (15kt gusts and I weigh 175lbs). I was a little worried I would struggle to get up on such a small foil. I can confirm that this front wing has crazy low end for its size. Had no trouble at all getting on foil and once up the speed/agility was epic! The HA line low stall speed is really impressive in these smaller sizes.

The performance mast line up definitely allows you to get the most out of your foil set up. The stiffness is felt through hard turns. When you give the foil input the responsiveness is very direct and helps you connect more with your foil. Love these things!

If I was told I could only have one set of fins it would be these.

Want to be smiling from ear to ear, get a Foil Drive kit immediately. This set up will get you on the water in those days you didn't even think you could go. A Foil Drive really gives you access to waves that are not even breaking, and teaches you how to ride your foil in that energy. Before work, Foil Drive, lunch break, Foil Drive, after work Foil Drive. It is the biggest cheat code to more time on foil and hunting down swell that you would never catch paddling. The ability to move the unit between boards and foils is also a great advantage as you progress. The space is growing continually with boards and masts specifically made for Foil Drive. I really can't say enough about how fun it is. Only downside is you may want to buy an extra battery so you can go more. Don't hesitate, treat yourself today.

Its very important to stay hydrated. At work I used to drink out of a flip top bottle but found it to be more trouble than what its worth so I wouldn't use it. I recently got the Stanley Quencher FlowState 40oz Tumbler. The straw is a game changer and allows me to quickly grab sips all day with NO hassles! It fits in the drink holder in my truck as well! Stay hydrated my friends!!

I actually have 2 pairs (different colors) and love these sandals! The versatility of being able to wear them in the water is a must....especially when you live at the beach. The anatomical foot bed is a plus ( I'm over 50) and I appreciate well fitting footwear. At the beach or around town these sandals will work for you!

I work in Retail and am on my feet all day. I wear these socks daily (different pairs of course) ;) and they have held up well for the past 2 years! They are soft, comfy and have held their shape and not stretched out like other socks out there. You wont be disappointed!

Finally a sunscreen that actually stays on! I really like the pump action on the bottle. A small amount goes a long way so being able to get the right amount each time helps save product and not look like casper the ghost with tooo much! This stuff is actually tough to get off which is not a bad thing...... 100% mineral sunscreen ain't bad either!!

I've been riding the 1190, 990 and 890 on my FOIL Drive and have been having the time of my life! It feels like the two systems were meant to be together. From knee high bumps to head high waves the stability and turnability of these foils is unmatched! Because of the great pitch stability I find myself riding higher on the mast which in turn makes the whole flight more efficient!

First session on the integrated 185mm mast in the books (990 MKII & Surf MKII 200)... conditions were chest high with side off 20 knots. For perspective I've been riding the lift 180 hax and Florence 130 when foil driving. I was surprised how much lift the 990 MKII provided... felt like the same lift as the 180 hax but with obviously way more maneuverability. Had wing tips out a few times with no issue. The integrated mast/pod was so smooth. Couldn't tell if it was in or out most of the time (that's what she said). Super stoked. What a great time to be alive!
