The Zero to Hero Kite Camp takes you from rank beginner to a self-sufficient kiteboarder. Zero to Hero gives you the time on the water and confidence handling the equipment to allow you to purchase your own gear and practice at home. Zero to Hero Camps run select Tuesday-Thursday April through October.
REAL Kite Camps provide students with the ultimate full-immersion kiteboarding experience with three full days of instruction. REAL Watersports invented the "Kite Camp" back in 2000. Since then, REAL has been teaching camps full-time and has evolved the program through constant feedback from our students and coaches.
The Zero to Hero Camp is a two to one student to instructor kite camp that runs on three consecutive days.
The Zero to Hero follows a set curriculum to take you from having no experience to being self-sufficient so you can purchase your own gear and practice at home. Included in the set curriculum is flying a trainer kite, reviewing rigging and safety, flying an inflatable kite, body dragging downwind and upwind, practicing board skills behind a jet ski, working on water starts, gear tech (selection, purchasing, maintenance, and repair) and working on water starts. Zero to Hero is a great way to get a comprehensive, immersive beginner experience.

If a camp cannot be completed during your trip, all unused camp hours will be rain checked to your store account as credit. Store credit may be used to re-book lessons and camps, rent gear, and/or purchase merchandise from the REAL flagship store and REALwatersports.com. Your store credit will never expire and can be used at any time.
CAMP NO SHOWS: If you fail to show up at the time of your scheduled camp, or you fail to call to postpone your scheduled camp, you will forfeit the value of your camp and will not receive a rain check. If you fail to show up on time for your scheduled camp, the amount of time you are late will be deducted from the total camp time.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you need to cancel or reschedule your camp, you can do so up to 14 days before the scheduled camp time with no rescheduling fees. A rescheduling fee of $200.00 will be applied to any camps canceled or rescheduled within 14 days of the scheduled camp start time, and the remaining balance will be placed on your store account. If your camp is canceled by REAL, you will receive a raincheck equivalent to the value of the camp booked. No rainchecks will be issued for cancellations or no shows within 48 hours of a camp.
WHAT TO BRING: Students are required to have their own water wear. This includes a pair or watershoes/booties, sunscreen, a standard bathing suit, and/or wetsuits ranging in thickness depending on the season. If you do not have any of this, do not worry; the REAL Flagship Store is always stocked with the finest water wear and accessories so you can be comfortable on and off the water. All REAL students get 10% off regularly priced wetsuits, rashguards, sunscreen, sunglasses, booties and clothing at REAL while participating in lessons. This discount does not apply to gear or accessories such as boards, kites, wings, harnesses, foils, fins or leashes.
