Wing foiling is learned most effectively by breaking the learning process into two stages — handling the wing and riding the foil board. Learning to control the wing properly and safely on land before entering the water will dramatically accelerate your progress. This on-land class covers wind knowledge, setup, wing handling, balance, safety, steering, power control and rider responsibility. By completing this 1.5-hour class, students will know how to handle and control a real wing on land. By completing Wing Foiling 101 you will build a solid foundation of knowledge and techniques that will dramatically improve your learning curve once you hit the water.
Ages 6–11 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian enrolled in Wing Foiling 101.
RAIN CHECK POLICY: All lessons are paid in full upon booking with REAL Watersports. If your lesson is unable to be completed due to conditions the lesson amount will be rain checked to your REAL account. REAL account credit may be used to re-book lessons and camps, rent gear, and/or purchase merchandise from the REAL flagship store and REALwatersports.com. Your REAL account credit will never expire and can be used at any time.
LESSON NO SHOWS: If you fail to show up at the time of your scheduled lesson, you will forfeit the value of your lesson and will not receive a raincheck. Due to the group nature of the lesson, we are unable to postpone the lesson if you are running late. If you fail to show up on time for your scheduled lesson you may miss out on key instruction.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you need to cancel or reschedule your lesson, you can do so up to 14 days before the scheduled lesson time with no rescheduling fees. A rescheduling fee of $30.00/student will be applied to any lessons canceled or rescheduled within 14 days of the scheduled lesson start time, and the remaining balance will be placed on your REAL account. If your lesson is canceled by REAL, you will receive a raincheck equivalent to the value of the lesson booked. No rainchecks will be issued for cancellations or no shows within 48 hours of a lesson.
WHAT TO BRING: Students should wear clothing that allows them to move around and be comfortable outside. Shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen will help keep you comfortable in warmer temps.
