•Board mounting hardware (Sold separately)
•Available with green, yellow or orange wings
What we like:
This is a great recreational foilboard. The Hover Glide NF2 is a mid aspect wing that has a ton of low wind and low speed lift. For light winds, this means you will foil with less wind in your kite. This foil is really stable, so when you get on foil you will stay on foil.
The Flight School Mast Package is a must have for learning or shallow waters. This is a very affordable set of training wheels, that you will come back and use again for foiling in shallow water areas.
The padded foil wing and mast covers are great items that come with the package. These will protect your investment if you keep your foil built between sessions.
The Hover Glide is awesome for low speed foiling but performance suffers at high speeds. This is not a race foil, and it will top out at around 25mph.
Slingshot wanted to make their foils the strongest on the market. To do this, they used heavy duty aluminum that is thicker than the competition. This adds a couple extra pounds, so carrying your board up the beach can get tiring. You can't notice the weight when you are foiling and we feel that the extra weight adds to the stability while on foil.
Getting an extra top plate and hardware makes using the Flight School masts easier since you will have to change less parts. If you are taking on the foil apart a lot, we recommend getting better tools than what are included in the package and extra hardware. This will keep you from stripping out the allen key heads on the hardware.
