I scored! Had my eye on this model since it came into REAL and when a 5’9” crossed my path – it was go time! Surfed this board this past week for the first time in chest to overhead waves and it greatly exceeded expectations.
As an experienced surfer (5'8", 160 lbs), I usually ride boards around 28.5L. For the Score Lord, I went with a 5’9" at 29.6L, and I couldn’t be more stoked.
I got this board for the day when the waves are good but not straight pumping tubes. The days when you might get a chest high wave for turns, then back it up with packing an overhead tube and need to get around the lineup.
It paddles like a fish with a lot of foam under the chest, then surfs like a shortboard off the tail. Had a few of my best turns and tubes on this board on the first day!
Rode it as a thruster with True Ames Fiberglass fins – poly board, black wetsuit, fiberglass fins – turns and tubes – that’s SCORE LORD right there!
