What We Like
When you launch the Enduro, it immediately feels really solid and stable. There is no surge or flutter or anything out of the normal. You immediately have confidence in the kite. That confidence transitions to your session and all the tricks you try.
The Enduro has a very distinguished feel. The full wing tip translates into power in your hands and a direct feel to the kite. When you pull on the bar, the kite immediately turns and give you feed back. For any type of freestyle or wakestyle this allows you to feel confident enough that you forget about the kite and keep sending tricks til you stick them.
The adjustable LE bridle really changes the performance of the kite. You can get three distinct feels out of the same kite. The setting are clearly marked where the LE bridle attached to the LE tube at the center of the kite. For all around riding we found the stock setting of the Freeride worked fine for us. The Wave setting give you better steering when you are sheeted out and the Freestyle setting makes this kite a totally different beast. On the Freestyle setting the kite sets deeper in the wind window, has more pop for wake style tricks and has much more power through the turn for kite loops. We recommend the Freeride setting for most people. The Wave setting is nice for lighter riders. The Freestyle setting is great for heavier riders or those doing a lot of unhooked tricks.
Ozone kites are built to last. They have meticulous manufacturing quality control and remove anything that is not necessary. The super short pulley less bridle never got caught up when we slammed the kite. If you slack the lines on a crash the Enduro rolled through the center lines with out inverting and you could keep flying it. No bridle wrap.
To get the maximum hang time out of the Enduro, you need to be really powered up. If you know how to edge hard, you will get a lot of pop and hang time from the Enduro. If you are learning to jump, you might find the Enduro harder to get the boost off the water compared to a kite like the Edge.
The Enduro is all about the feel. You feel the kite turning. You feel gusts. You feel it pulling through turns. It rides more like a sports car and not your daily cruiser. Unless you are an aggressive kiter that is looking to go out and charge you might consider a different kite.
The water relaunch was surprising for us. The Enduro pops off the water and never gets tangled up in the super short bridle. When the kite is at the side of the wind window the wide wing tip says supported and it is hard to get the kite to roll on its trailing edge.
Ozone provides you with a killer pack of spare parts, extra color match dacron and canopy material. It seems like a small detail, but they made an excellent bag that easily swallows your kite. It has a plastic zipper that won't corrode when you store your kite over the winter.
Who is the Enduro for?
The Enduro is best suited for the intermediate to advanced rider that wants to ride hard. The Enduro has a light weight feel and the Ozone manufacturing will hold up for many sessions to come.

The Ozone Enduro is the high performance do everything kite in the Ozone line. With an adjustable leading edge bridle, you can optimize the Enduro for free ride, freestyle or wave riding.
The Enduro V1 bridges the gap between our extensive range of kites, offering all the essentials for freeriding, freestyle and wave riding. It incorporates an Open-C shape and a swept arc, delivering a large wind range, direct response, amazing handling, boost for jumping and drift in the waves.
For Freeriders the Enduro V1 excels no matter what board you choose to ride on the day. From twintip, surfboard or foil board the smooth power delivery, refined predictable handling and excellent de-power allows you to relax and enjoy the ride.
In the Waves, the handling, de-power and drift opens up a world of opportunity. For surf freestyle the progressive handling with smooth lift make spinning and airborne tricks easy to learn and land. The Enduro V1 is not as dedicated a wave kite as the Reo, but it still delivers solid wave riding performance.
The Enduro V1 makes freestyle progress fun and easy from your first unhooked moves, kite loops and right up to advanced unhooked riding. The Enduro V1 delivers accessible pop and drop making learning technical moves and handle passes easier, without needing to be as aggressive in your riding compared with a C-kite such as the C4.
The Enduro V1 features multiple back line adjustments to customize steering pressure and turn speed. Combined with our Variable Bridle Geometry, this allows you to customize the feeling and performance of your kite.
As with all Ozone products, we pride ourselves with top of the line manufacturing in our own factory using the highest quality materials. The Enduro V1 is constructed with quality proven Teijin D2 canopy material and Teijin Dacron providing a crisp feel and a strong kite.
VARIABLE BRIDLE GEOMETRY SETTINGS
Quick and easy to change with no extra lines to add or remove:
Freeride – The Freeride setting offers the ideal balance in performance and feeling for all-round riding in any conditions. This is the factory setting and we recommend you try your Enduro V1 first on the Freeride setting.
Wave – The Wave setting decreases the bar pressure, and increases steering reactivity in all states of power and de-power - it is easier to turn the kite while de-powered when riding a wave.
Freestyle – The Freestyle setting increases sheeting bar pressure, increases power in the kite loop and increases pop for unhooked tricks. If you prefer a heavier and direct feel this could be the setting for you!
