Our aim was to make the fastest parawing with the best upwind performance on the market. Illustrated by Axel Mazella's ground-breaking success with the Afterburner at the Defi Wing, we've pushed our design programme, our riders and our factory to the limits with this high-end machine.

The Afterburner features a high number of cells for the perfect load spread, ensuring an ultra-clean canopy in-flight. It goes upwind like nothing else you have ridden, will transform your tacking success, and remains easy to stash. The low end is solid, similar to the Pocket Rocket V2, but at the top end the Afterburner is in a league of its own.

This is a wing for riders committed to freeriding without their parawing for as long as possible — the type of downwind distance where you might need to sit and rest at the end of it, taking on liquid and carbs, before an easy relaunch gets you back upwind.

Canopy Design

• Single surface design philosophy pushed to the next performance level

• Increased cell count and fully supported rib structure for perfect load spread and an ultra-clean canopy
• Lightweight tabs reduce weight, bulk and drag

Aerodynamic Performance

• Clean, rock-solid leading edge for high-load sessions
• Minimal canopy flap when sheeted out (depowered), for reduced drag and higher depower efficiency
• Designed for hooked-in harness riding; each Afterburner comes with a 25cm Fixed Loop Harness Line attached to the bar

Bridle Layout

• Bridle line length balanced between maximum aerodynamic performance and good stashability
• Thinner Kevlar lines on the upper level to reduce drag
• As featured on the Pocket Rocket V2 and PowerPack, mid-level and riser lines use thicker, stiffer line proven for rash- and tangle-free stash and redeployment

Monobloc Carbon Control Bar

• Monobloc Carbon control bar with textured EVA grip
• Ultra-light weight — only 90 grams
• 35cm long, an ideal balance for easy stashing and wing control
• Index finger front overhang for increased comfort and de-power control
• A-line protection nub acts as a stopper, providing extra grip between index and middle fingers
• Thumb resting spot on bar end for enhanced comfort and feel

Size & Wind Range

Wind range is indicative only, based on an average rider weight of 80kg. Actual range will vary based on rider skill level and type of board/foil used.

Best suited to advanced and expert riders. Disciplines: freeride and race (10/10), wave (5/10), freestyle (3/10).
