FCS Freedom Leash-6'-Blue

I've had a couple of these and they're a super comfortable leash that seems to tangle less often than other leashes I've used in the past. My only issue with it is they don't hold up well in surf in the 6ft + range. To be fair they're only rated for 3-4 foot. It would be awesome if they could use the same technology and cuff but add a little more durability. Overall a great leash.

I have used this leash in quite a wide variety of conditions. It has held up to travel quite well. I have not have a leash break on me yet. However this past hurricane season in the obx I did have the interior portion of the leash come undone from the cuff. SO i did not loose my board but the leash was trashed kinda just turned into a limp rope. I was surfing way above the recomended waves size so user error could have been big in this flaw.
However this leash feels like there is nothing there, once you cuff it , it stays there. SOlid purchase for everyday surf. Just dont push its limits too much.

I used this leash for a few sessions in waist to shoulder high waves in Puerto Rico and I was not a fan. It has a light feel and did really well keeping the leash out of the way while sitting in the water and surfing. However, when I wiped out and the board was pulled away from me it was uncomfortable because the cuff would dig into my ankle. The benefits weren't worth the discomfort.

Been hearing a lot about the Freedom Leash but hadn’t had a chance to try it out yet. Holy Moly! Surfed the 6ft. leash in waist to chest high waves in Cape Hatteras with the Lost Smooth Operator mid-length. Not once during the entire session did I think about, feel my leash or get it tangled around my foot while paddling. This leash is the real deal!
I did find the cuff to be a bit small to fit around my ankle with a 5/4 and boots on but it didn’t present any issues.
