This pad is my GO-TO traction when I pickup a new grovel shortboard with a wider tail, especially one with a squash tail. . This pad can be too wide for a high performance shortboard with a narrow tail or some with a rounded pin (unless you are going 6'4"+. This pad has a nice semi flat main pad, and a moderate kick tail and plenty of rail to rail coverage. Additionally it is relatively easy on your knees while paddling too, so no more knee rash in boardies.
