CF800

The Carving Freeride 800 with its inflected tips is ultra smooth to ride. It's inspiring stability allows you to really carve with confidence and it has the speed to handle big waves or swells.

The deep anhedral through the centre helps prevent the foil ventilating during steep carving manoeuvres and gives the greatest feedback on ceiling breakthrough before ventilation on any foil shape.

Ideal for Kite foiling, larger wave riding, Tow surfing and Wake foiling.

Tech Specs:

  • Wing area: 800cm2 (124in2)
  • Wing span: 600mm

CF1600

The Carving Freeride 1600 is our go to foil for smaller wave riding, downwind swell riding, SUP and wake surf.

Although perfectly suited for beginners of all foil disciplines this wing is the multi tool of the foil world. In combination with our stiff mast and fuselage this wing has be the most stable and easy carving foil available.

It has been designed to get you up and flying on the foil easily. This high lift front wing produces smooth progressive lift at low speeds, together with the new generation wingtips making it easier to control as the foil starts to accelerate. The other advantage of this wing is that due to the unique foil section it has a built in speed control, once up to speed it will stop accelerating which gives you time to concentrate on just riding the foil.

The CF1600 is the perfect foil choice for small to mid size surf or SUP foiling, the best all round wake foil and an amazing fun light wind carving kite foil.

Tech Specs:

  • Wing area: 1600cm2 (248in2)

300 Rear Wing

I love this 300 rear wing. I purchased a 2400/1850/1550 setup and found the 232 HS rear wing to be too loose for me at this stage in my game. Specifically I really like the 300 behind the boat combined with the 1550. It gives it more of the locked in feel that I've been used to with another manufacturer's metal setup, but still being super forgiving and way better response than the old foil.

I imagine the 232 will be something I will grow into and may try it out in larger waves with the 1550.

Right now though, the 300 was the best upgrade I made so I can get out and enjoy the Armstrong setup straight away!

Smoothest Foil Out There

There are a lot of foils to choose from out there as I came to find out when I was looking for the perfect one for myself. I chose Armstrong not only because I had heard how awesome they were to ride but also because I am the type of person that likes to buy products that won't get destroyed by sitting in my garage. The anti-corrosion properties of this setup are second to none! Not having to use lithium grease on the fasteners also makes for a much cleaner experience. When you do break down this foil the screws feel like they have gotten tighter during your session due to the way the stainless sits in the titanium inserts. I like not having to worry if I don't have the time to break the foil down after every session. This maximizes your time on water for those "before work" or "lunch break" foil fixes.

Armstrong foils have the smoothest feeling while you are riding. The pitch on this foil is incredibly easy to control and it pumps back out with ease and finally allowed me to start connecting waves. Do yourself a favor and invest in something you will not have to replace due to corrosion or engineering for years to come!

The 800 is amazing. I'm hooked!

After riding the 1200 for a few sessions I decided to give the 800 a try and was delighted with how much I loved it. As expected, it doesn't start flying until a few miles per hour faster than the 1200, but it can hold even more speed than the 1200. It's smooth, stable, very maneuverable, and makes foiling a breeze. I'm hooked on these Armstrong wings.

Best foil ever!

The short review: I'm an advanced foiler and the Armstrong 1200 is the best kite foil I have ever used. It is incredibly easy to ride, ultra lightweight, maneuverable, super stable, and a butter-smooth ride at all speeds. It is both beginner-friendly, and expert-friendly.

The full review: The 1200 is easy to ride because it creates lift at very slow speeds but is not limited to those slower speeds like some other beginner friendly wings. It can be ridden at very fast speeds as well, and doesn't feel twitchy or out of control while doing so. It's so lightweight that it feels like you are riding on a pillow of air, and because of this, the wing is very easy to whip around, edge to edge. The maneuverability makes it easy to learn new moves, like tacks or jibes. The stability and smooth ride makes me feel comfortable right away. The wing can come very close to the surface of the water and yet it remains in control, where some other wings start to lose stability when creating turbulence close to the surface.

The Armstrong 1200 has reinvigorated my interest in foiling. I don't want to ride anything but the Armstrong from now on.

CF2400 wing=perfect beginner wing, ultimate small wave foil, ultimate glide

I have been working on the basics of foil surfing for a few months now. I have tried a bunch of different foils and have gotten to the point of getting some sporadic rides, usually barely getting to my feet and holding on for dear life as I get a short ride, ending with slapping the water shortly after. After 2 session with the CF2400, it completely changed my game. I am now able to take off on most waves, cruise down the line confidently, pump through flat sections, and I even was able to get 5 or 6 pumps back out to the lineup! The glide on this foil is insane, it just keeps on going. This was super helpful to me because even if my placement on the wave was off, I was still cruising no problem. Even if I completely messed up one or two pumps, I could salvage it on the third.

I used this on a day with TINY waves. Seriously tiny. A day where longboarders get bored after 10 minutes and get out of the water. Meanwhile I was catching wave after wave having an absolute blast.

I was also really impressed with how it could still turn just as easily as other foils I have tried, even at how huge the wing is.

Getting the CF2400 as an intro to Surf Foiling is perfect, then you can also add on the 1200 wing for performance and for when you progress. Then having the CF2400 wing for down the road would be perfect for tiny tiny surf days, or for behind the boat.

Can't wait for my next small wave session on this wing!
