Ship to an airport. Pick up. Save on shipping.
Airport Self-Pickup is the most economical way to ship large boards and oversized gear without paying residential freight rates.
Simple airport pickup
Four steps from order to pickup.
Select Airport Self-Pickup at checkout. A REAL Pro will contact you to confirm the nearest available airport. This option is available on boards and select oversized gear.
Airport Self-Pickup shipments depart every two weeks. Your order travels with the next departure to your selected destination airport.
Once your order has an assigned flight, you’ll receive the flight number, pickup instructions, and cargo facility address.
Bring a photo ID matching the order and your Air Waybill number. Cargo facilities are usually near the airport, not inside the passenger terminal.
Boards and oversized gear only
Regular items and smaller parcels ship standard or express. See the full shipping rates page for those options.
International rates vary by destination and shipment size. Select Request Shipping Quote at checkout and a REAL Pro will confirm the rate before processing your order.
Import duties and customs fees are the customer’s responsibility and are billed by the local customs authority on delivery.
Available destinations
Across the lower 48, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Alaska, and international destinations.
Pickup timing, eligible gear, airport requirements, and international shipping details.
You’ll receive an order confirmation immediately after checkout. Tracking information follows when your order is assigned to a flight on the day of departure.
We ship Airport Self-Pickup orders every two weeks. Orders placed before a departure travel on that flight; orders placed just after a departure wait for the next one. Typical time from order to airport arrival is 8–14 business days.
Most boards and oversized gear qualify, including surfboards, foilboards, wingboards, downwind boards, SUPs, and full quivers. Some hazardous materials — including certain lithium batteries and pressurized canisters — cannot fly as cargo. Eligible products will show Airport Self-Pickup as a checkout option.
Go to the cargo facility at your destination airport. Cargo desks are usually a short drive from the passenger terminal, not inside it. Bring a photo ID matching the order and your tracking number, also called an Air Waybill Number.
Bring a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, matching the name on the order. If someone else will pick up your shipment, email realpro@realwatersports.com before the shipment departs so we can update the pickup name.
Most cargo facilities hold shipments free for 48 hours after arrival, then begin charging a daily storage fee. Monitor your Air Waybill tracking and collect the shipment promptly. REAL is not responsible for storage fees, import duties, or taxes.
Yes. Select Request Shipping Quote at checkout and a REAL Pro will confirm the rate before processing your order. Customers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs fees charged by the destination country; these are not included in our shipping quote.
Yes, as long as the shipment does not yet have an assigned flight. Once a flight is assigned, the shipment cannot be canceled or redirected.
Email realpro@realwatersports.com with your nearest airport. We may be able to add it or quote a one-time freight rate for your destination.
