works well but no substitute for time in the sun

I have used a lot of wax scrapers and this one works well. It is pretty sharp and does a great job of chewing up thick globs of wax, it is also pretty nice that you can scrape in any direction. However if you are looking to completely de-wax your board I think you are still better off with just leaving it in the sun for a while and using a flat style wax scraper to take the wax off in thick strips. This thing would be very useful if you were just pulling to a surf spot and taking off some old wax really quick to freshen up your wax job before paddling out.

This is a good little tool to keep in the board bag. It's comfortable in the hand and gets the job done quick. Great for traveling too.
