If you've never heard of Blak Bear Surf Club before, definitely check them out on Instagram. They've got a team of some of the hardest charging core surfers from Hawaii and beyond, and they're making really solid and dependable gear. I used this leash on a trip to Mexico, and put it in solid head+ waves everyday with no issue. I love that it's 8mm for a 6ft leash, so you can use it for your standard shortboards and stepups without worrying about it breaking. Super comfortable cuff, no issues with tangles, and all-around great leash. Perfect option for keeping your board with you in heavy waves!
