This hook works very well, has eliminated the rail dings that I got from the metal hook, the sliding feature also works great. However the negative is that I have broken 2 in the last year.

great hook for when you decide to start riding wings with a harness. I use it on a north wing belt. It will fit most belts if you are already using one. it can be opened up with a tool or leave it closed an slip the belt through the opening. You can move it out of the way if you need to paddle through the waves or out to the wind line. its well designed and held up for dozens of sessions. I have landed on it when falling on my board and its minimal so there has been no damage. Its a good price. Riding upwind hooked in is really liberating as you can relax your your arms and hands and it only take a finger or two to move the wing where you need after you get your harness lines dialed in. Dont leave home without it.
