Olukai Ohana Sandal-Black/Dk Shadow

I have relied solely on Birkenstocks to get me through the summers the past few years. They started to fall apart for me the past few weeks and I began shopping for a new sandal. The Olukai brand caught my attention when I read an article about their environmental sustainability efforts. As an Ocean Rescue Lifeguard the fact that Olukai sponsors the Hawaiian Lifeguard Association went a long way with influencing me to buy this product. They additionally seem to be durable, a purchase that would last me a few summers.
When it came to choosing which Olukai sandal I wanted I had a few preferences. Decent support, a moderate level of tread to provide decent traction and the ability to get wet. I am a huge fan of Olukai's leather sandals, however, I hate wearing leather when it's wet. In my line of work this happens quite often.
When I was trying them on the Ohana met all of these needs and more. I've now spent a few weeks in my Ohana's and I couldn't be happier. I look forward to putting them on and heading to work each day. Do yourself and your sole ;) a favor and pick up some Ohana's.

I needed a pair of sandals with a bit of arch support and found these to be ideal. I have a bad ankle and need the support. The soft cushy ones or sandals with no arch support tend to leave me in pain after a short while. Spending $65 on a pair of sandals is always tough for me to swallow but I've been completely stoked on my first pair of Olokai's.
I wear them every non-work day and some days all day at work. My job ranges from the office to walking all over the resort to check properties. I run up and down stairs or they quickly transition to a surf check.
I've worn them offshore fishing and found them to be comfortable all day in the cockpit of the boat and rinse off easy with a hose without getting slippery when wet. The non-marking sole left me confident on my friends boat.
They look professional and casual and broke in quick.

I'm stoked.
