Crank it up
The result of the work of Charles Brodel, six-time kite foil world champion, the BANGER QuadX combines performance and versatility like never before. Designed for all conditions, all levels, and all riding styles, it blends a carefully engineered design with innovative materials to offer exceptional control and handling. Versatile yet particularly outstanding in Big Air, it delivers spectacular lift, extended hangtime, and total control even in the most extreme conditions.
Features
- Outstanding versatility and formidable Big Air performance
- Optimal rigidity and lightness thanks to QuadX on the leading edge and optimized material distribution
- Stability in all conditions and smooth repositioning at the edge of the wind window
- Fixed bridle for increased responsiveness and maximum connection with the kite
- Consistent, intuitive bar feel
- Size-specific optimization
With its QuadX leading edge, the BANGER is incredibly stiff and stable, even in the strongest gusts, while retaining a lightness that broadens its wind range. Its optimized profile, supported by materials such as the QuadX and HT80, ensures perfectly smooth depower, intuitive handling, and instant bar feedback.
Its ability to reposition itself within the wind window according to conditions is a major asset. In light wind, it easily regains power, while in stronger conditions, it can accelerate smoothly toward the edge of the window without excessive pull. This movement along the edge of the window provides increased stability, forgiving mistakes and allowing relaxed riding regardless of your level.
The six-point fixed bridle offers the perfect balance between kite support and smooth handling, with a direct connection and exceptional responsiveness. A progressive depower ensures controlled power build-up, making jumps easy to anticipate, edging optimal, and acceleration gradual.
Thanks to its consistent bar feel, it’s always easy to know exactly where the BANGER QuadX is, allowing you to send jumps, kiteloops, and rotations with complete confidence.
Each size has been optimized to meet specific needs and features characteristics tailored to the wind range in which it will be used. Overall, larger sizes excel in light wind, while smaller ones shine in stronger conditions for sending Big Air tricks and loops.
In all conditions, the BANGER delivers a very vertical lift, extended hangtime, and a second lift that enables easy, high jumps followed by smooth landings, without requiring downloops.
Versatile, intuitive, and high performance, the BANGER QuadX is ready to crank your ride up.
Technology
QUADX COMPOSITE At F-ONE, we have developed the QuadX Composite, a laminated fabric with outstanding mechanical properties and enhanced durability. It is built on a unique four-layer architecture featuring the “Film Inside” concept. The key difference from traditional composites lies in the positioning of the PET film: in the QuadX, it is placed at the core between two fabrics, rather than on the outside.
The QuadX is composed of:
- Ultra-PE fabric: 5 times more tear-resistant than the best Dacron.
- X-pattern Ultra-PE fibers: precisely angled fibers that stabilize the fabric on the bias.
- PET Film: controls deformations in all directions, remains flexible yet efficient, and, being placed inside, is protected from external stress, preventing delamination and cracking.
- Outer polyester fabric: protects the whole structure and reinforces all assembly seams.
Thanks to this design, the mechanical properties of the QuadX rely on three fabric and fiber layers (Ultra-PE fabric, X-pattern Ultra-PE fibers, polyester fabric), whereas traditional composites usually only combine a single Ultra-PE fabric with one or two external films. During construction, the polyester fabric is naturally positioned on the outside of inflatable structures, as it provides the best resistance to abrasion and stitching.
Optimized to perform in all directions (warp, weft, and bias), the QuadX Composite delivers greater strength, responsiveness, and durability, while remaining lightweight at only 125 g/m². Its robustness reduces the need for reinforcement seams during assembly, making production easier and lowering the final weight of the sail.
REACTOR VALVE The reactor inflation valve offers a high flow connection that twist locks the pump hose to the kite for an easy and super-fast inflation and deflation at the push of a button.
It provides a high air flow rate between the struts and leading edge.
