      Fliteboard AIR Inflatable eFoil

Shop eFoils from Lift Foils and Fliteboard, plus Foil Drive Fusion kits and complete packages. Enjoy powered foiling on flat water without waiting for wind or waves. Compare the Lift 5, Lift X and Fliteboard AIR, or explore a modular Foil Drive Fusion package.

The right setup starts with who will ride it. Match board size, battery weight and runtime to your experience and goals, from first flights to carving and swell riding. Read our Fliteboard buying review, book eFoil lessons in Cape Hatteras, or ask a REAL Pro for help choosing your configuration. Check the included components and product-specific shipping and return terms before ordering.

    Frequently asked questions

Do I need wind or waves to ride an eFoil?

No. An eFoil uses battery-powered propulsion to get you moving and lift the board onto its hydrofoil, so you can ride on flat water without waiting for wind or swell. Our eFoil lessons take place on the flat waters of Pamlico Sound in Cape Hatteras. It is a useful way to learn foil balance before adding the demands of waves or wind. Choose your setup around the riders who will use it and the kind of sessions they want.

What size eFoil should I buy as a beginner?

Start with a board that makes takeoffs and balancing manageable for your weight and experience. A smaller board can feel nimble, but it gives you less room for error while learning. In our Fliteboard buying review, Matt explains why a larger board provides a bigger sweet spot. For first rides or shared use, compare the Fliteboard AIR and Lift 5 F; then ask a REAL Pro about board volume, foil choice and the people who will ride it. Our eFoil lessons can help you get started before choosing your own setup.

What is the difference between the Lift 5 and Lift X?

The Lift 5 is a dedicated eFoil with a quick-connect Lift Connect System and an LCS Jet in the packages listed here. The Lift X is a hybrid designed for powered riding and gliding on waves or swell, with a folding propeller in the listed low-prop setup. Choose by your riding goals rather than assuming the smaller hybrid is the easiest first board.

In Matt's on-water review on the Lift X product page, he found smooth transitions on and off power, but also a precise takeoff and noticeable weight. Compare the board size, foil, propulsion and battery in your selected package, and ask a REAL Pro if you are deciding between cruising, learning and wave riding.

Should I choose an inflatable, fiberglass or carbon Fliteboard?

Match construction to how you will use and handle the board. In our Fliteboard buying review, Matt describes the AIR as a hard core with an inflatable outer layer, a forgiving option for first sessions and boat or dock use. Soft Top adds cushioning to a hardboard, while fiberglass balances cost and performance. Carbon favors lower weight and stiffness for performance riding.

Construction does not replace choosing the right board size. Check the options on the exact model, such as the Fliteboard PRO, and factor in carrying the complete setup as well as how it feels on the water.

Can Foil Drive Fusion replace a dedicated eFoil?

Yes, when it is built into a suitable board-and-foil setup. Fusion can be configured for eFoiling or used as a powerful foil assist; the board, foil and motor position shape how it rides. In our Fusion versus Assist Max review, Matt uses Fusion on a larger board for teaching and eFoiling, while favoring the lighter Assist Max for frequent turning and pumping in surf.

Fusion is a modular option if you want to adapt your setup over time, but it is longer than Assist Max and does not fit every board. Compare a Fusion beginner package with a dedicated eFoil, or ask a REAL Pro to check whether your existing board and foil are suitable.

How long does an eFoil battery last, and which battery should I choose?

Compare runtime with the weight you will carry and the kind of riding you will do. A bigger battery can extend a session but adds weight. The Fliteboard PRO page lists Nano, Sport and Explore battery options and their quoted ride times; check which batteries and chargers are offered for your chosen model.

For Foil Drive, our Fusion battery comparison separates continuous eFoiling from intermittent surf-assist use. It lists approximate eFoil averages of 39 minutes for intermediate riders and 61 minutes for advanced riders with the Fusion 860, versus 29 and 48 minutes with the FM+650. These are reference figures, not promised session lengths. The FM+650 needs an adapter when used in Fusion. Match the battery to your setup and riding before comparing headline runtime claims.

What is included in an eFoil package or a Foil Drive Fusion kit?

Read the Package Includes list for the exact product and selected options. The Lift 5 packages list a board, foil components, propulsion, controller, battery, charger and carrying gear. A Foil Drive Fusion kit supplies the power system and its listed accessories, but you still need a suitable board and foil.

A complete package such as the Fusion Premium package with Armstrong Wing FG brings the board, foil and Fusion components together. Check optional motors, propellers and other selections before ordering. If you already own gear, ask a REAL Pro to work out what you can reuse and what you need to add.

Will eFoil batteries, controllers and propellers work across models?

Compatibility is specific to the component and generation. Do not assume a battery, controller or propeller fits just because it shares a brand name. For example, the Lift X Battery Adapter allows Lift X and Lift X Light batteries to run on current-generation Lift 5 and Lift 5 F boards; its product page specifically excludes Lift 4 and earlier generations.

For Fusion, the newer FM+650 battery needs the adapter described in our Fusion battery comparison. Before buying replacement parts or upgrading, ask a REAL Pro with your board model, generation, propulsion and existing battery so we can check the exact combination.

Can I return an eFoil if it is not right for me?

Check the product-specific terms before you buy. Our Returns & Exchanges policy states that Lift eFoils and accessories are final sale and excluded from the normal return policy. The Fliteboard PRO product page also states that eFoil sales are final. The general 30-day policy should not be assumed to cover your eFoil purchase.

If you are unsure about sizing, configuration or the terms for a Fusion kit or package, ask a REAL Pro before ordering. Warranty claims have a separate process described on the returns page.

Will my eFoil and battery arrive together?

They may arrive separately. The Lift 5 and Lift X product pages describe separate deliveries for the board and propulsion, followed by the battery with a signature required. Do not plan your first session around the first box arriving; confirm the delivery plan for your exact order.

Shipping costs and restrictions vary with the product, battery and destination. Review the shipping information and product-specific notes, then ask a REAL Pro if you need delivery by a particular date or are ordering outside the continental United States. We can confirm the current options before you commit.
