The AM1 Techflex, designed by legendary shaper Al Merrick of Channel Island Surfboards, is a medium sized thruster in the Rake template category. This template features a wide base and refined tip, for the perfect combination of release and drive. The Techflex construction with the flat foil give this fin a stable feel giving it the speed control desired in powerful waves. This setup has a smaller center fin than the side fins for increased maneuverability.

Great fins for great waves

I've been using these fins for the past 5 years in all my good waves boards in a thruster set up with future boxes - my FRK and my Christenson Carrera that I rode at Cloudbreak.

The FRK has been ridden in good to epic Outer Banks waves and the Carrera was in big and wild cloudbreak - 6-8ft, windy and challenging...
