How to Properly Maintain Your Foil Drive
Foil Drive Maintenance Check List:
Every Session
- Rinse w/ fresh water
- Rinse blades to remove sand
- Remove prop rotor and rinse. Leave rotor off to dry
- Rinse controller
Every 3 Sessions
- Spray the stator with Lanolin spray
Every 10 Sessions
- Light marine grease stator bearing and rotor spindle.
- Battery grease battery terminals
Every 20 Sessions/Month/Winter storage
- Remove the box from board, rinse, and dry underneath.

Remove the mast from box, rinse and air dry.

Wipe down the computer box with lanolin spray once clean and dry
- Teflon grease mast mounting screw before resetting the mast to computer box.
- Battery grease ring on motor cable mount
- Teflon grease motor cable set screws that go into computer box
- Tighten prop screws and make sure the prop blade folds with minimal effort
Winter Storage
- Battery at 50%
- Battery grease terminal
- Disassemble the mast from board and computer box
- Remove rotor hub from stator
