Plenty warm for OBX winters

I have been using this glove the past two winters here in the Outer Banks and they have worked well. Nice and warm and good mobility. I always wear an XL glove, and same goes with this one. While the finger length is good, the width of the glove at the base of the glove is a bit narrow and feels a little restrictive, but close enough to work just fine. The outside of the glove has the smoothskin material which is really nice when its windy and keeps the wind from cutting through them. You do have to be more careful with that material though since its more prone to being nicked or cut. Also taking the glove on or off, you can't just grab and pull super hard, easy does it.

A great glove!

As soon as I could this fall, I bought a whole new set of O’Neill gloves. The Psycho Tech 1.5mm, 3mm and the 5mm and I sure am glad I did! The 1.5mm are incredible and got me through a lot of sessions in my 3/2 and hooded 4/3 this fall. They are light and do not absorb a lot of water.
Since it has gotten cold (42-48), I’ve been using the 3mm. They are the ideal winter glove. Warm and form fitting but not too durable. Got slammed into the sandbar duck diving and the neoprene got some abrasions. I was able to patch ‘em and bring them back to life with some wetsuit sealer. I have only worn the 5mm twice cause the 3mm are so warm and nice. The 5mm were crazy warm. The first time I worm them, it was a cold, windy day with air temps in the 30’s and water in the low 40’s and my hands never got cold.
Get the gloves you need before they are gone!
