THE UNCOMPROMISING HIGH PERFORMANCE WING

Just one year after the start of the CORE wingfoil series the addition of the high performance wing Halo Pro follows. Using the highest quality materials and innovative construction, the Halo Pro allows you to perform completely new maneuvers and tricks.

The Halo Pro harnesses the core strength of Aluula's high stiffness. This remarkable property, coupled with its lightweight design, allows for thinner strut diameters that maintain their shape even under heavy loads.

The continuous boom with its long grip surface not only makes familiar maneuvers more intuitive, but also makes new tricks possible.

In the different canopy segments, the CoreTex 2 was sewn in the optimal running direction in order to achieve the highest performance. When paired with the Aluula airframe, this feature allows you to pump the Halo Pro more directly, giving you an enormous amount of lift and hang time as well as a maximum direct flight feeling.

Features:
  • ALUULA AIRFRAME: stiffest and lightest airframe material
  • CORETEX® 2 CANOPY: low-stretch, extremely robust with high UV protection
  • CARBON BOOM: easy and intuitive handling
  • DOUBLE SPEED VALVE: fastest deflation and variable pressure

Great performance love the boom

If you haven’t ridden a boom wing you have to try this out it’s so nice when learning new tacks or jibes to just be able to grab anywhere to get through a maneuver, it also allows you to ride one handed and ride with your hands close together kind of like on a kite bar. The lightness of aluula makes the wing great for riding waves as it flags out great even going down wind. The stiffness of the frame makes for a very stiff canopy that is very responsive and has great depower with minimal flutter and drag

This wing is good. Very very very good.

I've been riding the Core Halo Pro wings for about 6 months now, and dang these things are GOOD! There is really a ton to like about this wing. You can tell that Core took their time, learned a lot from their first wing the XC, and made a really top tier product here.

Pro
The ride on these are insane. Really nice balance. Predictable power. The wing isn't squirrely or weird, its just smooth and intuitive. The boom is really a nice handle pairing with this wing. Its stiff and light weight and gives a very direct connected feel to the wing. I like that while doing upwind tacks and especially wave riding, both situations that you are not wanting to actually look at your wing, you can always find the boom opposed to handles that you can miss.

Con
The front handle on the nose of the wing is a bit soft. It would be nice to have a little bit more structured of a front handle for when you are wave riding and holding it just by the handle. Also just because of the price I'm scared of destroying it in the surf and breaking all that expensive Aluula. Only other con is its kind of annoying to stuff into the bag because of the boom. Pretty minor drawbacks for riding one of the best wings on the market.

Its kind of dumb when people say things about products as if its "like driving a German car"... but using the Halo Pro is kind of like driving a German car! Its so refined and just does what you want it to, superior handling all around. The Germans have done it again!

GAME F’ING CHANGER

Went out on the Core 4 yesterday. GAME F’ING CHANGER. Most were on 5.0 but you don’t need as much wing w/ the Core Pro.

I now do gybes w/ 1 hand. With the one piece boom (which I love) you don’t need two hands for gybes.

And the one piece boom reminded me of kiting where the better you got the closer you put your hands together on the bar.

With the one piece boom, I found myself putting my hands/arms closer together so that they are evenly stressed a la old windsurfing booms.

Much more efficient, less tiring and easier to lock in position for speed.

The weight, lightness is amazing.

I pumped it up to 6 to make sure no bladder twists etc. Then when to 7. Felt totally fine. Then went to 8. Recommended 8 to 9 by saw no reason to go to 9.

The wing is so stiff.

I absolutely loved everthing about it. Everyone was checking it out at the Stuart Causeway yesterday.

People are going to want the Core Pros. Other than $$, no reason to ride anything else.

And I had 7 fluxes before and w/ the Core Pro I see that have 3, 4, 5 and 6 will fully cover me. FULLY.

For someone my age who can afford to indulge a bit, these wings are a bargain. I am exaggerating a bit but with the Core Pro, I am doing maneuvers after 2nd sesh that I may never have gotten to on my old wings. I have been wanting to try tacking now that I have my gybes dialed. I didn’t really have a program set up to do so. But first sesh out on the Core Pro and I am riding toeside and a light goes off “Hey! I think I can tack this thing”. And I did. 2 I a row. Got all the way around. Came off foil on the flip side but did not fall off!

Light and powerful!

I was able to try out the 5M Core Halo Pro Wing the other day in some nice N winds, 18-25 plus mph, and loved everything about it. Right when you pick up the wing you notice how light and balanced it feels and how much detail Core has put into constructing this wing. It has noticeable power right from the get go, and I was able to get on foil right away. I have mainly been riding wings with the two hard handles and the full bar felt a bit strange at first, but once I got used to it, I really enjoyed it. The diameter of the bar was comfortable and the ability to manage the wing in turns and riding was really easy. This performance combined with quality of construction is just what you would expect from Core. I would highly recommend this wing to anyone looking to up upgrade their wing quiver.
