Description

From KT

Keith Teboul: “High volume, compact, all around awesome flying. The Wing Drifter features a fuller outline for an easier paddle and increased stability when in the air.

KT Surfing signature quad concave bottom with beveled rails for the smoothest touchdown and fastest release when foiling.

Rail shape/tuck for quick paddling and fast release to take flight.

The bigger sizes of the Wing Drifter are uncompromisingly dedicated to Wing-foiling and Sup-foiling. Its key characteristic also being a super compact build paired with a high volume and wide shape.

New for the 2022/23 model is a modified deck shape for increased comfort when winging.

Constant volume flow provides enough float and stability to get going with a wing or paddle, yet doesn’t feel bulky or cumbersome in flight when wanting to turn or pump.

70 Wing Drifter

Tried the new 70L Wing drifter. Found it easy to knee start, with sufficient volume forward not to sink the nose. Easy to get up on the foil, and once riding felt lively and responsive. Nice deck pad and tail kicker, great fit and finish. Thanks Real Team for the good advice.

Great update to the KT Drifter

This new version of KT's Drifter wing board is a great update. I tried the 80L version in about 18 mph winds on flat water and I'm 195lb. I find this board to be more stable when you are climbing up onto the board and when doing a water start than the previous version. This one isn't corky, and feels more naturally stable. The newer traction pads are also nicer. The front deck traction is much more comfortable while still giving you tons of grip. It seems like the construction is much tougher now too, so it should be a much more durable board. Overall a great update to an already good board!

Coaching feedback on the KT Drifter 64' 160L

Here is some feedback on the new 6’4 kt 160L board after teaching some lessons with it…

Board is an awesome addition to the REAL rental shop, a great beginner board, and an impressive deal for the price. It is more stable then the 6’4 Armstrong board (132L) and a ideal product for wing beginners who are bigger or less athletic.

The 6'4 KT is as stable as the 150L 7’0 Ride Engine board (moon buddy) but significantly more lively with turns and enjoyable to ride.

I’d say the Armstrong board is a bit more high performance and it will remain my #1 recommendation for a more athletic rider but I was surprised how well the kt board turned and the shape allowed me to get up on foil fast even in light wind.

My favorite part of the board was the volume/rocker in the nose that made it handle the chop better then any high volume board I’ve taught with.

Liked the lightness of board making it easy to transport and it does seems to be bit more durable (thicker glass?) then old Quattro boards which IMO was one of their main issues. We shall see how boards hold up over time. 🤙
