What We Like:
The Core Fusion 2 is a great "all-around" shape. The vee that runs the entire length of the bottom combines with a slightly narrower tail block to give you an ultra smooth ride through chop. Unlike other carbon boards, the Core Fusion 2 has flex so it is easy on your knees. Core has made the Fusion 2 lightweight by laminating the wood core with Cartan Carbon.
The new Union footstrap and pad system is crazy comfortable. The footbed is soft and supportive and the double strap cinches down easily and is easy to adjust. Most importantly, these footstraps fit from a size 5 womens to a size 13 mens feet.
Edging the Fusion 2 is a piece of cake. You can set a rail on this board and you never bounce out or get water spray in your eyes. It also hammers upwind. When you load up the board and pop it for jumps, it really comes alive. The carbon rebounds really quickly and you get a lot of extra pop from this board.
Most boot style bindings will not fit on the Fusion 2, but it is not optimized for that type of riding. Riding boots on this board causes it to flex too much and you would lose all the killer features it offers. Also the Union Footstrap's plate is 6.5" wide so they will not fit on most boards that have a 6" insert hole spread.
Why you want the Fusion 2 kiteboard:
This board makes most conditions feel like a walk in the park. Similar to the Core XR4 kite, the Fusion 2 has a huge sweet spot and it is really easy to ride. We have men, women and kids of all sizes riding this board and absolutely loving it. For general freeride cruising and boosting the Core Fusion 2 is hard to beat.
