The Christenson Navitimer follows in the footsteps of the Chris Craft, with incredible paddle speed, wave count, trimming and speed. Where it differs is more outline curve, a dedicated (and most often glassed on) thruster fin set up and a fish tail.

What We Like

We really like this style of board… Both the Chris Craft and the Navitimer. Most surfers have no idea what to think of them and the concept goes straight over their heads. These boards are incredible paddlers and wave catchers. They go noticeably faster than standard noseriders, so you make way more sections. They have the ability to connect waves that you can’t connect on any other boards. You can ride them in a wide range of wave sizes, and for the skilled, they’re actually really fun in bigger slopier waves too, not just the small stuff.

The Navitimer has a touch more outline curve, thruster fin set up and a fish tail. This allows the board to project more out of the turns and get up on rail through them. The fins are glassed on to provide a SOLID connection on this larger than average package. This translates into more projection and speed. Plus you’re not flying with them anyway, so why worry about removable fins? All in all the Navitimer performs just as well as the Chris Craft with its own flavor through the turns.

Insider Info

We’ve been big fans of this style of board for years. Long, lean and mean equals more fun more days, and more days instead of no days. But for most it goes over their head. Is it a gun? No. Is it a SUP? No. Is it a longboard? No. It’s fun to watch those that take the leap of faith become cult followers like us. The Navitimer is the big brother of the Christenson Long Phish so think of it as a cross between that board and the Chris Craft.

Why you want a Christenson Navitimer:

You’re looking for more fun in small or slopey waves. The Navitimer increases your wave count, your trim speed, your length of ride and your smile.
