We put this package together based on what Matt was kiting, surfing and winging. This package includes everything that you will find in the back of his truck.
"I love the 4'5.5 Armstrong board. I can kite, surf and wing foil this board and it works equally as well for each sport. When you touch down while kiteboarding at high speeds, the rail shape deflects off the water and puts you right back in the air. Paddling and pumping this board is a dream. It glides into waves like a board that has 5 Liters more volume. The internal dual carbon stringer makes pumping a breeze. For winging, the 4'5 is really balanced and the variety of foot strap placements have been clutch. The carbon tail patch allows you to move the kick tail out of the way of the strap too."
His most common wing sizes are the CF1200 and HS1550 wings on the 72cm mast. As the chop and wind speeds increase, he switches into the HS1050 and the 85cm mast. The longer 85cm mast allows him to push the wings farther below the chop for the really bump sessions. For the extra flat days or low wind Wingy Thingy he breaks out the 2400 for maximum glide.
"The CF1200 is my go to do everything foil wing. It is so good for so many sports. I love it for kiting because you ride in light wind and progress. Surfing it is fast and makes up for mistakes and I am using the CF1200 on windier days with the Wingy Thingy for higher speeds and better airs. The HS1550 is my next most used foil wing. This is my go to for wing surfing as it is comes on foil easily, is fast and still transitions really well. I really like surfing the 1550 as well because it makes connect waves much easier. Surprisingly the CF2400 is my next most used wing. I never thought I would use it because most big wings go too slow and are hard to ride. The CF2400 is quite fast and still turns really well. When the waves are really small I use this one for max pumping or winging sessions that are in the 5-12mph of wind range. Finally I use the HS1050 for bigger surf days or kite foiling when I am more powered."
The 60cm fuselage is his go to, but the 70cm comes out more than he expected. The longer the fuselage, the longer the gilde that you get while pumping and he said it has really helped making the double dips while surf foiling. The extra stabile of the 70cm is something he goes back to while learning new transitions or tricks in any sport.
"I never thought I would use the 70cm fuselage as much as I do. The 60cm is so sweet and perfect for most sessions, but I toss
