The only way to go
by Russel T on September 19, 2012
After spending three days with REAL, I realized that this is the only way to learn. Having the coach be right with you on the ski coaching you through the entire experience was amazing.
I was able to progress so much faster and farther than expected. It was really nice to have a couple of boards on the jet ski that we could trade off with too.
I had one lesson before Zero to Hero and after coming to this kite camp, I realize that the Zero to Hero Kite Camp is the only way to learn.

Worth the Chedda!
by Josh Bacon on May 25, 2012
I wanted to thank you all for being basically the most awesomeness people I've had the pleasure to wear a wet suit with!
It was obvious to me right away that I waited way to long to get into this sport and really had no concept of how involved it was. I've always been able to teach myself but feel fortunate to have learned by you all.
I am so impressed with how professional you guys are and your ability to explain and teach kiting. It was so worth the chedda:)

How do I rate this FANTASTIC
by Bobby Dow on May 21, 2012
Attended the Zero to Hero camp and have to say it exceeded my expectations. Before signing up I looked at some other lessons on Hatteras and kept coming back to the REAL watersports site. Something just kept telling me this is the place to go. Am I glad that I did, first of all what a wonderful facility, its just first class all the way around. Even though we didn't have wind the entire time, the coaches did everything they could to get us out and learning no matter what the conditions. We even came in early after the camp finished so that we could get back out on the water when we had wind.
All the coaches were all great and just as excited when we rode as we were. They were all happy to show us gear but you didn't have that pressure of you need to buy this stuff now.
The entire staff at this place is great and friendly and so very helpful. I couldn't recommend this place anymore, if your thinking about going stop thinking and do it you won't be disappointed

Great Hosts
by Woody on July 22, 2011
Just wanted to thank Real for being such a great host for my son and I. What a blast we had even on a light wind weekend. You have such a great crew working there and a fabulous facility. Your people could not be more accommodating and friendly.
Your kiteboarding coaches are great even for this plus 50 guy. Very encouraging and had me improving on skills I never thought I could have.

REAL Rocks!
by Todd Meyer on July 9, 2011
Just to let you know, I spent the day watching my friend at the kite surfing school here in Italy. What a difference! I'm so stoked I learned in Cape Hatteras at REAL.
Truly a different caliber. I bit my tongue more than a few times, and it was a bit frustrating for sure. It's almost like steeping back in time when I see how they teach, compared to how I learned at REAL.
I feel that I could have taught a better lesson than this instructor! REAL rocks. thanks for putting me on the fast track.

Fantastic
by Anc Clarkson on June 15, 2011
Was great hanging out with at Real last week. The Zero to Hero program was fantastic, and your coaches really got me all squared away. My efficiency of learning was phenomenal! Please pass along my thanks to your kiteboarding instructors; they are prime asset to the Real operation, no doubt.

Kite Camp
by Brian on March 2, 2011
I've had a few good sessions here in San Diego since my Z2H camp. The wind is much lighter here than Hatteras so I've only been able to fly the 15m kite I purchased. Definately lookin forward to a day when I can fly the 10m kite. Forecast is lookin good this week so we'll see.
BTW- Just wanted to say thank you for putting together such an amazing camp...your staff is second to none!

Zero to Hero and Evolution Kite Camps
by Matt S on March 2, 2011
I wanted to take a quick minute to say thank you for a terrific experience at REAL from May 3-10. My intention was to immerse myself in the kiting culture and try to steepen my learning curve so I can hang with my buddies- and that’s exactly what happened with the back to back camps. I am so happy that I got hooked up with you guys. I was riding with my buddies (can’t quite say I was ‘hanging’ with them...need to get some mileage first).
I appreciate the laid-back but serious style your shop has- and the attention and energy your team displays. Amy got me set up and Ed really came through as my instructor. I also appreciate the help in getting my gear shipped down there and then shipped out again.
I can’t say enough about how stress-free the whole experience was (except for may the 35 mph winds Ed had me riding on the second session!).
Thanks again, and you can be sure that I’ll be back to Hatteras and to REAL.

My boys loved it
by Tom on March 2, 2011
Both my boys really enjoyed the week they spent at camp and now they're both rippin' it up on the water back home in Bellingham. I think Ed was able to find the perfect balance of keeping it fresh for a 10 and 11 year old, and teach them to respect the hazards of the sport. They both keep asking when we're heading back to Hatteras.

Uber Dudes
by John Ward on March 2, 2011
Just wanted to say thanks for a great time last week............your instructors did a terrific job and my buddies and I simply had a great time.............really exceeded expectations and my guess is that you'll see many of us again and again through the years.............wasn't sure what to expect from the camp before we started, particularly from the instructors (thought we might end up with a bunch of "uber dudes" and that might have been, well, "interesting" from a fit standpoint with our crew), but I was very favorably impressed with the professionalism, focus on safety, quality of the coaching, and the fact that they were just generally very nice people to be around........we liked them all and think they added alot to the fun..................hope the autumn season shapes up well for you and my guess is we may see you in the Spring for Evo

Great Camp
by Oliver on March 2, 2011
I just made it back to my place in Connecticut, and wanted to drop you a quick line to say thanks. I had a great time, and although the weather didn't play along the last day, I caught the bug. I had a great time and I'm looking forward to the next opportunity to get a kite in the sky and up on a board.
I've had some experience coaching sailing, and I thought you guys ran a really good camp. We covered a lot, and IF there had been a bit more breeze I think I really would have been riding both directions rather than just one.

Family Trip
by Debbie L on March 2, 2011
Our group had a really great time. Everyone was so excited and had so much to talk about every evening. All the people at Real made us feel welcome and part of the Kiteboarding group. A big thank-you to all. I have had alot of feedback from the group--they all said it was the best trip they have had. Many want to come back. Thanks again for all the help........

Cape Hatteras is the only place to learn
by Jim L. on March 2, 2011
I'm missing Hatteras big time, my buddy John went down this week for triple S, I'm totally jealous.
I had a blast on my trip, really couldn't imagine a better way to get into the sport. You guys have the ideal set up, and the Z2H course is perfect with the jetski and 2-1 instructor ratio. You have really amazing instructors as well, really good guys and girls.
