…Lost Rocket 5'10

….Lost on the new fleet of 2010 Rockets : “Originally shaped as a 5'3" for Shane's young son Noah by former ...Lost shaper and pro surfer Noah Budroe. The board features a wide forward outline with round forgiving rails, flat deck and a wide "rocket" tail. The rocker is extremely low in the entry, for instant speed, with an exaggerated kick in the tail for tight arcs out of turns. A small to average wave all-rounder that can be effectively ridden 4" to 6" shorter, 1/8" thinner, and just slightly wider than your normal short board without sacrificing any carve or drive.”

REAL’s comments on the …Lost Rocket
The Lost Rocket is the most popular and best selling shortboard in the world.
Why? Because it excels in every day conditions. The key to success with this shape is a wider nose and flatter nose rocker, combined with a powerful tailblock and aggressive rocker out the back of the board. You catch a lot of waves and you have MASSIVE power and speed when you need it from the Rocket Tail design. What separates a Rocket from many other “fishy” type boards is the mega kick in the tail and the ability to go super fast AND lay down hard turns. Rather than going super wide or thick, the Rocket achieves perfection through moderation and that is the key to success when maximizing range of use.

REAL has a full rack of Lost Rockets in stock from 5’2 up to 6’6. Lost also makes two other versions of the Rocket called the Squash-It (Rocket with reduced area squashtail) and the Grocket (Rocket with a reduced area swallow tail). We have 5 of these on the rack as well.

Takayama Scorpion 6'8

Takayama calls this the ultimate mini nose rider with the ability to turn on a dime and surfed hard off the tail! This thing really rips. Is set up for quad, single fin, or 2+1 fin set-ups.

REAL’s comments on the Takayama Scorpion
Donald Takayama is one of the most popular and successful longboard shapers in the world. His following includes diehard “Tak” fans that RAVE about the smoothness of his rides. Two of his most popular boards, The Takayama In the Pink and the Takayama Ali’i SUPS are class leaders here at REAL with their owners now devout Takayama fans.

The new Takayama Scorpion is a modern hybrid shape that has a HUGE range of use. We got the first Surftech Takayama Scorpion 6’8 in the world here at REAL earlier this spring and put it through the paces over the past several months. From groveling in a 5mm wetsuit and mushy surf, to pulling into Hatteras barrels, this board has an almost limitless range. Surftech claims “Noserides to Tuberides” and while this may sound like a stretch, it isn’t. REAL teamrider Zack Johnson has been regularly working both ends of the board, many times on the same wave. We rode the board in every fin configuration: Single, Quad, Tri and 2+1, and each has it’s own distinct feel and way of surfing. Owning a Scorpion is actually like owning 4 different boards with the range and surfing style that 4 different boards would bring to your quiver. From the flow and cruisy feeling of the single fin, to the high powered speed of the quad, the Takayama Scorpion provides a college education on how fins and placement can change the way a board surfs.

REAL has the Takayama Scorpions in stock in 5’10, 6’4 and 6’8.

Stretch Quad High Performance Longboard (HPLB) 9'0

Stretch's High Performance Longboard is a balance of traditional style and forward thinking. It's been fine-tuned to be quick-turning and ultra responsive so you can carve, glide and rip down the line with clean style.

REAL’s comments on the Stretch HPLB
If you’re looking for a high performance longboard to maximize your Summer wave count, but still want a board that RIPS turns, makes late drops and can handle sizey waves when the hurricane season kicks in, then the Stretch HPLB is the board to check out. This board is like the Swiss Army Knives of surfboards. In small waves, the lightweight EPS Tech construction, combined with the progressive shape and quad fin set up, make for a board with plenty of speed to maximize the mush. As the surf builds, the rounded Stretch rails give you the confidence to slide into the barrel, never hanging up or sending you over the nose. When you find yourself in the exact WRONG place, you‘ll be happy you spent the extra $$ on EPS Tech construction with Stretch “Love Handles” on the deck. Both of these combine to make the most durable, breakage resistant, construction on the market.

REAL has the Stretch HPLBs in stock from 9’0 up to 9’3, with round and bat tail designs. We also have Stretch’s popular mini-longboard, “The It”, in stock from 7’0 up to 8’7.
