Fed Ex Racing #11 made an appearance at REAL in Cape Hatteras on June 30th, from 2-8pm. Staff from Joe Gibbs Racing were onsite to answer questions and let people know about the tech behind the car. Fed Ex #11 driver Denny Hamlin is currently #4 in Sprint Series Nascar Points and rumored to be one of the only drivers in Nascar who could end #48 Jimmie Johnson’s 4 year dominance in the sport. Already in 2010, Denny has 5 wins and 7 top ten finishes. Even with scattered showers, there was a steady flow of avid and new Nascar fans all day and the #11 Hauler Retail Store was open with Denny Hamlin T’s, Hats, and Sweatshirts.

During their lunch break, the REAL Kids Camp was able to check out the car and ask questions of the JGR staff. Not only are these kids living the life, kiteboarding, surfing and standup paddleboarding every day, now they’re even learning about racing cars and the teamwork it takes to win the Sprint Cup!
