Description
Simon’s DK is historically his performance quad fin, but his ULTRAFLX model is being offered with a modified fin cluster for ultimate customization and a predictable feel. This board allows you to connect your turns without losing momentum. Ideal for waves from 2 – 6’.
About Ultraflx:
Ultraflx is a really unique construction. Essentially it is an EPS composite epoxy construction that blends the lightweight spring of PU/poly with the durability and longevity of epoxy sandwich. In addition these boards use a higher density foam in the rails to protect the board from dings and give it really lively response in the turns.
Ultraflx actually does have a lot of the same performance attributes as PU/POLY surfboards in terms of the way it feels while surfing. The main difference though is that Ultraflex is lighter and will last longer than a regular PU/Poly board. Because these boards use more materials and take more technical steps than glassing a regular board - they are usually a little more expensive.
