The Robert August “What I Ride” is the board that Robert August uses himself around the world during his surf travels. This board can do it all from powerful carving 360’s off the tail to vintage Endless Summer noserides.
The What I Ride features a moderate width nose with a nose concave underneath for extra lift while noseriding. A crisp, clean release off the tail with a 2+1 fin set up (*10' Single Fin) give the WIR more speed than many noseriders which means you can stay on the same board as the surf picks up.
These boards tend to have a bit more “power” underfoot than the length would indicate, so if you’re torn between two sizes, it’s safe to size down and still have enough flotation and speed in smaller surf.
Available in three constructions : Polyester for the tried and true classic feel, really nice airbrushes on these. Tuflite for maximum durability and minimal maintenance. If you like your longboards to be lighter for better turns (or ease of transport) Tuflite is the call. The classic wood features Tuflite construction inside with a layer of wood veneer wrapped top and bottom, plus solid wood nose and tailblocks. Beautiful, durable and a solid weighted feel for nice glide!
