I hope to see the wavejet soon, but not sure where or who has them to test in NC. I would normally be opposed to non-paddling wave riding, but my tail has been kicked bad due to numerous spinal disorders/operation, and now I am weak as a flea due to CLL.

I spent my young years surfing and learning about the ocean well into undergrad and graduate school. My life, training, research, and teaching involved the Ocean as a Coastal Geologist until 1982 when my 1st spinal surgery beat me down.
After numerous other spinal operations/procedures, and now CLL, it is really crazy to try to surf, but I sure would like to try the 7 foot wave jet. I seriously need to attempt this before i cannot do anything else due to medical issues. Thus, i need to find out where i can test one of the wavejet boards.

Now, for sure this is a change, and many surfers will not like the new technology, but I remember when short boards were looked 'down' on. And more so when a leash was considered not really surfing. I also remember many many days of swimming in after my board before the leash (and sometimes swimming in even when a leash failed).

Thanks for the article on wavejet, and i hope I can try one before my batteries are to low even for the Wavejet. Cheers, Dan P
