REAL Watersports and Watermen’s Retreat are proud to announce the opening of a new waterfront restaurant in the village of Waves.
Watermen’s Bar & Grill will open in Spring 2013 serving breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week, plus the best coffee, beers, wines and mixed drinks in the area. This Winter will see an entirely new re-fit of the restaurant space with new tile floors, wood ceilings, granite bar tops and breathtaking views of the Pamlico Sound. New indoor seating and an outdoor bar area will maximize the experience every day.
Travis and Kate Brown have come onboard our team to point the project and manage Watermen’s Bar & Grill going forward. Travis and Kate bring with them over 18 years of experience working in the restaurant service business with Starbucks Coffee Company.

Kate Brown has 7 years experience working with Starbucks as a Shift Manager and has a strong background in customer service and cooking. In just the few days they have been working at REAL getting the new restaurant off the ground, Travis and Kate’s coffee and food are already acquiring an excited (and addicted) fan base!
The focus of food and service at the new Watermen’s Bar & Grill will be to maximize the waterfront experience, while providing delicious and healthy food choices in a fun and inviting atmosphere. Look for the return of live music on our waterfront stage with the Sky Blue Summer Concert Series sponsored by Carolina Brewery starting in May 2013.
