Jeff “Sodie” Soderbergh is a veteran REAL Kiteboarding coach and heads up REAL Kiteboarding’s Northeast school locations. During the winter, Sodie shifts gears to master craftsman and cranks out amazing pieces of furniture and artwork from his Newport farmhouse studio.
This month the all-star Northeast REAL Coach can be seen gracing the pages of Esquire Magazine!
We have always tried to pick up quality people for our REAL team and this showing of Jeff's fits right in! Jeff and his funiture are featured in Esquire's "Well Crafted" feature in the March 2005 Issue. What a Man of Style!
Jeff Soderberg joined the REAL Kiteboarding team in 2001 as our REAL Rep and Coach in the Northeast and has been a regular face during the summers on Long Island, NY over the past few seasons. He’s carried the REAL torch well since then and has taught thousands of people how to kite in Newport, Rhode Island, and at Napeague on Long Island.
Jeff calls his work "architectural art". His pieces are made from recycled materials of all sorts and are reworked, shaped and sanded into magnificent items that are both beautiful and functional. Check out Some of Jeff's work HERE
In another month or so, Sodie will begin to come out of his winter hibernation and make his annual early spring pilgrimage down to Cape Hatteras to thaw out, refresh coaching skills with the rest of the REAL Team and take about 5000 sessions in "The Slick"!
Once the North starts to thaw, Jeff can be found on the water helping experienced riders reach the next level and helping new riders into the sport. Jeff’s home base is out of Newport, Rhode Island, and he’ll be seen out at Long Island’s Napeague Harbor as well.
We are already getting calls from Jeff's loyal crew up north and are now booking lessons for Jeff's summer schedule.
