Learn to Standup Paddleboard

REAL Standup Paddleboarding offers three instructional methods : REAL Lessons, REAL Private Lessons, and our 3-day REAL Standup Camps. All three methods utilize the same REAL instructional syllabus custom designed by REAL coaches over the past 6 seasons. Our REAL Lesson Program breaks this syllabus down into half-day segments, normally taught two lessons per day, with a max student/coach ratio of 3/1. REAL Private Lessons can be booked in blocks of three hours or more per session and guarantee one on one interaction with your coach. Our REAL Standup Camp program is three full days of total immersion into the sport. Dive in head first, or take it one day at a time. At REAL, "We Make New Riders Everyday."

Group Standup Paddleboarding Lessons

$100 for 2 Hours

Get out there and LEARN TO STANDUP PADDLEBOARD! REAL Group Lessons are a fun way to spend your day in the water learning the basics of standup paddleboarding. REAL Group Standup Lessons have a maximum student to instructor ratio of 3 to 1.

Semi-Private Standup Paddleboarding Lessons

$100/hr/pp for 3 hours

REAL Semi-Private Lessons can be tailored to any ability level from rank beginner to advanced standup ability levels. Maximum student to coach ratio of 2 to 1 insures excellent service and attention, as well as maximum safety and progression.

Private Standup Paddleboarding Lessons

$150/hr for 3 hours

REAL Private Lessons insure students will realize their standup goals quickly and efficiently. REAL Private Standup Lessons can be tailored to any ability level, from rank beginner to advanced standup ability levels.

REAL Lesson Center

The REAL Lesson Center is right onsite for kiteboarding, surfing and standup paddleboarding lessons and camps with 26 full time coaches, 12 PWCs and a private 4 acre Bermuda grass launch right on the Pamlico Sound. The new REAL Lesson Center features 2,500 sq ft of dedicated school space plus direct access onto the 4,000 sq ft deck, 3 private, separated classrooms, overhead video projectors, plus 5 outdoor showers, bathroom facilities, lockers and more making this the best instructional facility in the world.
