Hybrids

The "new" category in between shortboards and fish. Typically characterized by a bullet shaped nose, shorter lengths (compared to the boards they replaced), wider and thicker throughout. More waves, less board, new turns. With 5'2 up to 8'+ lengths, the shorter ones tend to be catered to aerials and power surfing where the larger ones avoid "longboard" descriptions and discrimination.
